The food was hit or miss. The grouper was good but was not cleanly deboned. The chow fun lacked seasoning. The soup dumplings were tasty. As was the squid. The service wasn’t great. Our servers did their job but they were neither attentive nor friendly. The ambiance wasn’t bad but it wasn’t particularly good. There were workers trying to fix something on the side. We were seated by the entrance so it was quite chilly. Probably won’t return.

Went here for Dim Sum. This place offered some dim sum i have never had before. Quality and taste was very good. Even the tea was delicious. Some pics we started to eat before i could snap.

had to write a review after coming back 3 times. not only is the food SO GOOD with a large variety of items, but our server jackie, was so great. he was very attentive, quick, and you can tell he’s just great at what he does. i looove the chili oil wontons, lava egg custard buns, garlic string beans, and the sweet and sour spare ribs. they are very accommodating for large groups, as we had a birthday dinner here in october with around 25 people. just make sure you reserve in advance! for our birthday dinner, he brought us mango ice cream with candles and sang happy birthday 🤣 the tea is good, very fragrant, the atmosphere is great for celebrations or gatherings, and the food again, is really great.

Made a reservation for 6pm on the day before thanksgiving. Good thing I did because the restaurant was packed. However by 7:30pm, a lot of the groups left. On this day they had a thanksgiving menu. Which just means the menu was limited but still had a lot of options. We wanted salted egg yolk crab but they only offered ginger scallion or steamed with garlic. However the menu had a QR code linking to their full menu so that was confusing. Dim sum was still offered in the evening but none of the tables I’ve seen had ordered any. It’s not officially crab season yet so our crab was small. However it was fresh and cooked perfectly. The crab was $49. We also ordered the lobster with e-fu noodles for $48. Lobster was also very fresh and done perfectly. Not overcooked or rubbery. The noodles were also not too soft. It had a ton of ginger though which I ended up picking out. Although the staffs were busy, the crab came out 15 minutes after ordering. Then the lobster 6 minutes later. However staffs were not attentive. We had to ask for extra napkins, a shell cracker and for plates to be cleared. Also I think they should use slightly bigger plates for dinner service. Tea is $1.95/pp.

aside from the prompt service, the variety of teas to choose from, and the perfectly sized menu (imo i get sooo overwhelmed by most dim sum menus), the decor and vibes of the place are unique and different. my favorite was definitely the crispy pork belly (you HAVE to try it), green beans, chicken wings, soya tofu, and specialty har gow. the XLB were not the best i've had, but i do enjoy the creativity. street parking is ass as always in richmond, but on a sunday at 2pm, there wasn't a wait and the service was better than expected of a dim sum establishment. bill came out to be around $120 for 3, which is really really worth it for the quality of the food. probably my favorite dim sum in the bay!! definitely coming back for more
