Ryan is a fantastic tutor for kids and young adults. My 14-year old daughter, who had never had a formal lesson, benefited in a short time from his expertise in handling shadow and edges. We drove from Indianapolis just to have her receive his professional instruction as she builds her AP art portfolio. It was absolutely worth it and I only wish we lived in St. Louis so she could spend more time and do some more advanced lessons. She can't stop talking about the technical improvements she learned- she especially loved his personable style. I took the "Intro to Drawing the Head and Face" with Ryan at Drawn Studio. I loved this class. Ryan is an excellent instructor, and the classroom provides a comfy setting for drawing and conversing. With a class size of only six people, we had lots of opportunities for one-on-one conversations with the instructor and fellow participants. I learned a lot, and I plan to take other classes through Drawn Studio in the future.

My eleven-year old son wanted to make his drawings more life-like, so we signed him up for a kids course at Drawn Studio. He was initially nevous about joining, but was relieved to find that Drawn Studio is an incredibly inviting and comfortable place to be creative with others - and "so much cooler than class at school"! Ryan's teaching style is interactive, engaging, and encouraging! He covers a wide breadth of information but keeps the lessons well-structured and concise, while having the students practice those lessons in real-time, making them accessible to people of all ages and capabilities. I highly recommend Drawn Studio to anyone and everyone!
