I am in the market for a bike to commute on and I went in yesterday to learn more about what to look for in a bike. I was greeted by Chuck at the counter and he guided me through the whole process of what I should look for and think about when purchasing a bike. He was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly without pressuring me to make a decision. I did not end up buying anything but Chuck was very understanding about not making a snap judgement on a big purchase. Go here if you are thinking about buying a bike as you will not be disappointed!
I really like this shop for a number of reasons: First off, I appreciate that it is locally owned and operated instead of being just another chain location of some conglomerate. Next, I live downtown, so this place is conveniently located (I’ve even walked my bike here before after a chain broke). The biggest reason to praise this place though is the service. The owner, Nathan is a stand up guy, and he and his team bring invaluable expertise to the table. As a novice cyclist, I’ve leaned on them as a resource more than a couple of times when I had issues with my bike. If you’re looking to buy, maintain, or repair your bicycle, look no further! This is the best shop in Houston hands down.
This is a one-of-a-kind community hub in Houston. Not only have they done great work on my bike(s) for years, they have always been a place to drop by to find out about rides, nearby projects that effect biking in Houston, and great merch/gear to buy. Their staff have always been super kind and honest, and they've even hosted workshops for women looking to learn more about how to maintain and fix their own bikes!
I love this local shop. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the quality merchandise they stock, and do just the right work or service to keep you rolling. This place builds community and cares for it's customers. It's gem in Houston. Not some franchise store trying to sell you on a brand. I've gotten great service, rentals, and always have loved the ice cream bike rides!
Came here today looking for an all terrain bike. Bought my 1st hybrid bike here the Reid, very comfortable but I post it. Margo was very friendly and accomodating. Test a Salsa gravel bike for I want aomwthing faster. Love it. Keep up the good work! God's blessings.
