We read all the great reviews here and decided to enroll my two kids in the beginner program in February after the open house. They have however become less excited about attending the class in the last few weeks. Everyone has to perform in the upcoming April concert. I am unsure if that is necessary as the kids just started their program. But it is mandatory, plus parents must pay a concert fee and get the kids new clothes and shoes to have a uniform look. Ok, we will do it as a class activity. What I am most concerned about is the inefficient use of class time. Like another parent who expressed the same concern below, one hour is plenty if time is used wisely in learning. However, that has not been our experience lately. The instructor spent a lot of time discussing what the kids should wear to the concert in the last three classes. Yesterday, we spent probably the first 15 minutes rearranging seats, another 10 minutes or so checking homework, then practicing how to get on and off the stage, followed by the dress talk again, and maybe 10 minutes or less on the keyboard with the class rushed to end. The class was recorded on the school Webex platform if the school admin would like to see it. I understand the slower pace in a beginner class, but please spend more time on teaching and learning. When I expressed my concern, the front desk lady could only say, "I understand your concern." The instructor explained she needed to rearrange seats but neglected to address my other observations. According to her, since the class is already ahead of another class, so the kids are OK. I thought an educator should always try his/her best to keep the students motivated and help them move forward. um... I hope our experience will improve from now on as the seats and concert dress are now finalized.
My son started the Yamaha program since he was 4 years old. During this 9-year journey, the musical education provided has not only served as a strong foundation for his future musical pursuits but also helped him develop appreciation in music. We highly recommend East Valley Yamaha Music School to parents who would like to consider musical education to their kids.
My daughters have been going to this school for about four years and they love it! They say it is fun, they get to sing, and they love their teachers. I would recommend sending your children here if they want to learn piano.
Unsere Tochter besucht seit über vier Jahren East Valley Yamaha Music School – seit sie fünf Jahre alt ist. In dieser Zeit haben wir gesehen, wie sie sich von einer begeisterten Anfängerin zu einer selbstbewussten mittel- bis fortgeschrittenen Klavierspielerin entwickelt hat. Der Unterricht legt großen Wert darauf, Noten und Akkorde zu hören und zu identifizieren, ebenso wie auf das Komponieren. Die Schüler haben hier viel Spaß und genießen die Erfahrungen wirklich. Es gibt zahlreiche Gelegenheiten, vor Publikum aufzutreten, sowohl solo als auch in Gruppen. Das Personal bietet außerdem Privatstunden an, die die individuelle Fertigkeitenentwicklung für fortgeschrittene Schüler unterstützen. Das Personal war immer sehr flexibel bei Nachholstunden und der Planung von Privatstunden. Vor allem kümmern sie sich wirklich um ihren Beitrag zur Entwicklung der Kinder. Sehr zu empfehlen!
EVYMS ist eine großartige Möglichkeit, die Musikausbildung Ihres Kindes zu beginnen! Die meisten Lehrer dort sind sehr erfahren und machen das Lernen angenehm. Gruppenunterricht bringt den sozialen Aspekt in die Musik, was es zu einer tollen Alternative zu Privatstunden macht (übrigens bieten sie Privatstunden auf höheren Niveaus bei Yamaha an). Ich liebe auch, dass die Schüler mehrere Auftrittsmöglichkeiten haben, sowohl als Gruppe als auch als Solisten. Mein Sohn ist seit 2,5 Jahren Yamaha-Schüler und er liebt seine Lehrerin, Frau Heidi. Ich kann Yamaha nur empfehlen, es auszuprobieren!
