I had the luxury of working with Emma for 3 days in Ireland. Her work was beautiful and delivered timely. What truly impresssed me by Emma Mullins was how effortlessly she fit into our event. Her personality paired with her skill level is a perfect match. She captured the castle, the gowns, the joy and of course the flowers and the details perfectly. I am greatful to have had the experience working with Emma and looking forward to booking her again.

Where do I even begin with Emma? She was a bright light in our entire Chicago wedding process, from start to finish she held our hand through the process, I knew I never needed to worry or wonder about what was expected of us as a couple or what the next step was. So many vendors forget that many couples are operating in this realm of wedding planning for the first time but not Emma. We were well taken care of. She seamlessly worked around trials and tribulations that randomly popped up during our engagement shoot - we went to a venue that had promised us an empty cafe for our photoshoot but when we arrived it was clearly in full swing with patrons. My partner was definitely not interested in working around customers and the cafe had put us in an uncomfortable position but Emma was completely level headed and undeterred. She took one look around the room, nodded, and started setting up her equipment. Because she was calm, unbothered and collected it rubbed off on both me and my partner and we all relaxed into a great shoot. The photos turned out *AMAZING* and I couldn't believe we could get any better for the wedding, which of course, my expectations were yet again surpassed. In both our engagement and wedding day shoots we were in public spaces (Garfield Conservatory, a cafe, Union Station); so, hard to work around when you don't have the authority to command strangers to move or unanticipated groups of people moving around but Emma more than managed. We also had a wedding party of 20 people, which is an insane number but Emma knew how to work with a large group as well. We threw every curveball at her and she handled with grace, was super responsive to emails, and willing to work with us on important details and photos we wanted on the wedding day. I am very hard to please, especially with photos and video and I find myself regularly just staring at our beautiful finished products. I had every idea under the sun and shared them all with Emma and the thing I was impressed with is she never said "no we can't do that," she *always* found a way, even if we had to tweak some things, to be able to get me what I asked for, and trust me I had some big asks. Lastly one thing I really think stands out with Emma is she captures the in between moments with her documentary style photography. I didn't think much of it at the time but now that I see the photos it nearly brings me to tears to see how much fun our party was having in the in between moments, the little sideways glances, the laughs, the leaning in at happy hour between my family and friends, chatting over drinks. She captured everything. The team Emma worked with for videography was also an absolute joy - they kept it light and fun even when a number of us, myself included, started to get overwhelmed on the wedding day. Every time we showed a friend or family member our 30 second teaser clip they would inevitably say "wow I can't wait to see that movie! Is there a sequel??" Emma & team were a grounded energy source for me as the bride all day and night and I will never be able to thank them enough.

My wife and I are huge fans of Emma! 5 reasons she should also be your wedding photographer: 1. Emma is incredibly nice and was so generous with wedding organizing wisdom. She helped us feel more confident about the thousands of small details in the entire process, from our first Zoom meeting with her to the engagement photo shoot to the final shots on our wedding day. 2. She is incredibly thorough as a communicator. We never had any question about what she needed or what she was doing before, during, or after the ceremony. And she was even very communicative via email with our moms(!) 3. She is so organized but also so creative. She kept our wedding day smooth by planning out all the posed shots needed, and she got all photos back to us in an always impressive timeframe. But she was also always open for a surprising shot or a little experiment. It made her work feel even more personal. 4. She was a rock star on our wedding day, if you couldn’t tell. And she was a super fun hang during our engagement photo session, which featured Emma, my wife, and I improvising playful shots during a sudden rain storm(!) 5. Most of all, when she’s taking photos of you, her excitement in that moment fires you up more and makes you feel so comfortable. She makes you feel like your pictures are the best wedding photos ever taken. (But ours were, obviously)

Emma and her associate, Sasha, were an absolute joy to work with. From the planning stages, to engagement photos, to our wedding day, Emma was communicative, professional, and uplifting. Our engagement session photos are beautiful and surpassed what we hoped for. For our wedding, we asked for photos both downtown and in Lincoln Park, and Emma knew all the best spots. We were pleasantly surprised by how many sneak peek photos Emma provided us just a few days after the wedding, and we can’t wait to see the entire wedding album in a few weeks! We also received many compliments from our guests about how great Emma was. Please book Emma for your own engagement/wedding, you won’t regret it. :)

We had such a wonderful experience with Emma Mullins Photography! Emma did an incredible job capturing our engagement and wedding photos. On top of being such a sweet person, she has such a great eye for detail and editing. We love her photography style and the night photos turned out fantastic. Her husband was our videographer, and he did a wonderful job as well capturing our ceremony film. We also received such a stunning printed wedding album. Emma Mullins Photography beautifully captured our day from start to finish and we couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend them!
