Upon entering Evolution, you immediately smell a disinfectant which is a great sign for a piercing salon. The atmosphere is also very calming. Many plants, fountains with fish... It's really special. They also have a very lovely jewelry selection. It feels like a jewelry store, which it also is in some respect. I will say that the jewelry I chose was quite expensive about $250 for my earrings which were 14 karat gold. The piercing itself actually cost about $80 or so. I got my third ear hole piercings done by Syndesi, who is incredibly professional. I barely felt anything. While I was there, I also saw approximately two to three moms with their young daughters coming to get their ears pierced for the first time. It was incredibly busy for just opening that day (went around 11am on a Saturday). I think this says so much about this business and how inclusive, clean, and professional it is. I will absolutely be coming here again and never go to another piercing salon for any future piercings in Albuquerque. Fantastic experience.
Noah is phenomenal! Online booking was super easy and the shop is really neat (my girls loved the fish tanks and decor). The team that helped us pick out the earrings for my 7 year old were super helpful. We went on a Friday afternoon/evening and it was hoping. I got nervous that we would be rushed through but I couldn't have been more wrong. Noah made the whole experience exactly what my kiddo needed. Consent from the very beginning through every. single. step. - my kiddo was in the drivers seat and it was magical.
I've had multiple piercings done here over the past 9 years from body piercings, oral piercings, to my children's ears. Each one has been a great experience. Noah and Syndesi have done an amazing job every time. They make you feel comfortable and relaxed and give you an idea of what to expect during the piercing and healing processes. My most recent piercing was a Friday evening so I expected it to be fairly busy. They had two young ladies working the counters and both were very attentive, gave suggestions on jewelry, and reassured me for the piercing process I was nervous for. There was a wait (I had a 5pm appt and wasn't in the piercing room until probably 5:20 or so) because another client walked in and had questions the front end employees were unable to help with, so Noah spoke with them thoroughly. He did let me know that he'd be with me as soon as possible, though, and as soon as he walked us back to the room, it felt like we had his sole focus. There are definitely cheaper places out there but with Evolution's amazing piercers, high quality jewelry, and affiliation with the Association of Professional Piercers, I wouldn't go anywhere else. You get what you pay for!
I’ve been to both evolution piercing locations in my couple years of living in the state of New Mexico and have been pierced and served at both several times. With the pricing and service offered, I wish everytime I go that I felt more comfortable and confident in the place I was dropping hundreds of dollars at. The staff isn’t super friendly… They’ve made accommodations feel like a burden, and they are quick to try to get you out of there. After living and getting pierced in other cities like Chicago and Phoenix for years, I can’t imagine that either of these locations are SOOOOOO busy that they need to rush guests and not provide premium, personal service.

The team was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain every step of the piercing process and answer all my questions with expertise. The studio itself was spotless, which immediately reassured me of their commitment to hygiene. The tools were all sterilized, and the environment felt very calm, which was especially appreciated. The efficiency with which the staff worked was remarkable. Despite the attention to detail, there was no sense of rushing, and everything was done at a comfortable pace. My son’s piercer, Syndesi, clearly had years of experience, which showed in the precision and care taken to ensure a perfect result. Overall, my experience at Evolution was excellent. The combination of professionalism, hygiene, and a welcoming environment made it a top-notch piercing studio. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe and comfortable piercing experience. We also left with beautiful jewelry for my son and clear aftercare instructions.
