I got one of the lunch plates specifically the pork chop plate with rice, corn, green beans, and gravy. Food is seasoned very well there is no need to add extra as I was preparing to. Portion size is large for the price about $17. I also tried the Uncle Honeys desserts the tea cakes remind me of home MS, and the pound cake was nice and moist although I wish it came without the lemon drizzle. However, the peach cobbler is a hard no! Overall 10/10 great spot.
Pricy but good food. Great customer service with the exception of one or behind the food counter. Attitudes and tossing your food at you is unsatisfactory. I know they with hundreds of people but there is no need to take it out on a paying customer. Still one the best places in Houston TX to eat Southern Soul Food. I come from Spring TX but grew up here and it's worth it's.
Best soul food in Houston Collard Greens are the best I've tasted dried chicken smothered pork ribs or oxx tail you can't go wrong with anything on this menu service is fast and efficient the food is an expierience within its self!!! Keep up the good work!!!!
I love this place. If you ever want to feel welcomed at a business this is your place. Happy employees. Great selections of meats and a awesome restaurant section.
The soul food they prepare is soooo delicious. The portions are hefty too. They offer a variety of choices. The fried chicken and turkey necks were well worth the money! The vegetables were fresh. Best sweet potatoes I ever had. You won't be disappointed.
