It is a roomy area with lots of space and areas to stand above street level. It's near many hotels and the bus line. Fountain Square is a gathering place for many different events - festivals, music, peaceful protest →(this protest was in reference to 🧊 overreach) Cincinnati is considered a Sanctuary City and was designed to be. That said, federal laws are currently not very welcoming to immigrants, lawful or otherwise. We will see if Cincinnati can hold itself to a higher standard and maintain the status. There's a strong police essence which is unfortunately needed in downtown Cincinnati currently (political tension) although I felt safe in numbers. *Too many guns in the city as well imo. * Remember, downtown Cincinnati has 2 different "downtowns". The gentrified side and the rest :/
We visited Fountain Square on the 31st night, and it was an amazing experience. The fireworks were absolutely fantastic and beautifully organized, lighting up the entire area and creating a perfect New Year’s Eve atmosphere. The vibe was energetic, festive, and family-friendly, with people from all around coming together to celebrate. The overall arrangements were well managed, and the crowd energy made the night even more special. A great place to welcome the New Year with joy, excitement, and unforgettable memories. Highly recommended! 🎆✨
Great place. I was here on a couple of different days and both times they had the tables and chairs out for you to take a seat. One day there was food trucks the other day there wasn't. Both days there was live music which was brilliant. Also went one of the evenings and still felt nice and safe there. Lovely little area
Beautiful fountain. The 4 corner little fountains used to have cups as they give out purified drinking water. I loved that the fountain changed colors. There's also beautiful flowers all around and the area was very clean. I love this beautiful city of Cincinnati. As a first time visitor the rich culture all around the city in the old buildings and the rich history all around as well. Those that live in Cincinnati are blessed with a wonderful city.
