When freestyle first opened this place was great, the staff was so friendly the prices were reasonable and they were fair to sellers with payment. I don’t know what happened :( I had an awful experience selling a couple of months ago, after bringing a pair of Doc Martens that had never been worn and being offered $20 for them. I told them I wanted the shoes back but they had already sold them.. I’m moving out of the country and so apprehensively went in today to sell again, they took a few items and some shoes and offered me $22, I need everything I can get so I took the money but it’s honestly such a rip off. I rarely go in anymore so I can’t say anything about the current staff, but the girls who worked here a few months ago were straight up awful. Super rude, they were dismissive and had no customer service skills. Bummerooski! It has so much potential to be better!
Do not sell to this place with crooked buying policies & do yourself one better and stop shopping here as well. Over a $20 discrepancy when offering cash vs store credit for name brand items including American Eagle, Abercrombie etc in gently used condition. I used to really like this place but can’t justify them giving them a single dollar more after realizing how marked up the items they sell are vs how much they’re willing to pay for them.
I had a very disappointing experience with FreeStyle Clothing Exchange in Reno. I sent in a bag of clothes and made it very clear that I wanted anything they didn’t buy returned to me. They did the opposite and got rid of the clothes. When I called, one of the managers initially said they would make it right by increasing the cash they owed me for the clothes they did purchase, and told me to call back for the amount. But when I did, I was told by a different manager that they didn’t need to do anything since I had “signed something” that allowed them to get rid of my items. This is not just poor communication. It’s bad customer service. They went back on their word, didn’t respect my instructions, and left me with no resolution. I will never go back.
A cute store with cute pieces, for smaller women. I had an enjoyable experience looking at clothes on the “small” racks. A variety of crop tops and cute graphic tees. but none for “large” or extra large. That goes for the pants as well. The cute jeans and cargo pants were size 6 and smaller. The only pants were funky for bigger sizes LOL. I may have come at the wrong time of day (afternoon) or the wrong day in general, a sunday. But either way the variety was not great. My sister came out with like 15 pairs of pants and shirts and i came out with a single care bears graphic tee which I didn’t end up buying because of a stain near the collar.
Coming from LA, I’m used to clothing exchange stores like Crossroads and Second Street being pretty picked over and overpriced. This place was completely different! I found so many great pieces, including brands like Lululemon and Brandy Melville, all for just $170. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind—they answered all my questions and made the experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend!
