OK so we have ordered from here many times in the past, but gave them a break after a couple of questionable pizzas. We ordered three times, in the past month or so, once a Sunday night, which was fine, two times on Friday and it has been TERRIBLE (the Sunday in between redeemed them as they USED TO be good). A friend had told us their Fetalicous had changed and they quit ordering from here, we doubted her, as the Fetalicious is a favorite. No doubt about it- twice it has been really bad. It has changed and not for good,…at least on Fridays. Maybe the manager takes Fridays off? Maybe the Friday manager doesn’t care? Maybe staff don’t give a rip on Fridays? I know pizza places are busy on Fridays, but all of them are, and not all let their quality slide. First all the ingredients for both pizzas were tossed to the middle -a sign of hurrying. I think we counted 4 pieces of spinach - a main ingredient in the pizza and the Feta? I couldn’t taste any, could barely find any, because it was loaded up with their house blend, there was a pile in one spot. Then BOTH pizzas, let’s go with were “well-done.” We ate a couple of pieces and tossed them both out. They were supposed to be totally different pizzas, and tasted EXACTLY the same. As a joke my spouse cut me small pieces of each and asked me to guess which was which….couldn’t tell. The Fetalicious used to be one of their popular pizzas - and our favorite ….the pizza makers and manager on Friday nights need some retraining, the manager needs up their quality standards…not “good enough, it’s delivery they won’t come back!”. These were disgusting. What happened Glass Nickel? You used to be good. This location needs some retraining and closer supervision…for sure on Friday nights. Quality takes a dive. The Sunday we ordered would have a totally different review. It would be 4 star one…THAT’S how big and bad the difference is.
Best pizza I've had in a long time. Just a basic medium mushroom and sausage pizza. Great crust, fairly thick but perfectly chewy with a nice bready flavor, not dry. Toppings were abundant and well placed. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce, this pizza had that perfect layer of chewy, almost uncooked dough with just a hint of tomato sauce and then melty cheese on top while the rest of the dough had a slight crunch. One observation was that cheese didn't go all the way to the crust...maybe it pulls away during cooking? Anyway, service and ambience were both excellent. Gotta hit glass nickel more often!
Totally awesome on everything. I ordered a Canadian bacon regular pizza on a weekday night and it arrived 21 minutes later. I know it wasn't a busy night but still 21 minutes delivered? Absolutely awesome. Plus the pizza was high quality which you pay for here but totally get high quality and obviously fast service. Truly awesome and I give them props. A little expensive for just one person but if you're going to spend the money this is where I would spend it. I wish I would have got a picture of the pizza and the cross especially it was perfect. Thanks to the delivery driver too for being quick on a cold night.
We travel all over the U.S.. Last night we decided to hit a place close to where my husband was working. Most people love the pizza but we weren’t in the mood The Mac and Cheese was alright. Needed more salt and it was a bit dry for Mac n cheese. The lasagna however was AMAZING!! Lots of meat and the flavor profile was incredible. Lots of spice. I love lasagna with texture and this hit the mark for both of us. It was also a large portion so I had plenty for the next day. Go try the lasagna!! Edited!! Husband went with a coworker for lunch the next day. The pizza is just as good as the lasagna. I did not try it fresh but the Mediterranean Pizza HITS even reheated. Man this place just keeps getting better!! Go try them!!
We were in Madison for the WIAA high school boys basketball finals for the state championship and wanted to get some pizza delivered to our hotel. We looked up pizza close to us... And picked the Glass Nickel Pizza Co. Everything we ordered was hot and delicious! Delivery was fast and friendly! I highly recommend ordering food from the Glass Nickel. You will be happy you did!
