I've never sweat so much. I've boxed before at a different facility 2 years ago. That place was also 5 stars, but while I feel that facility majored in fitness and minored in boxing, Glove Up MAJORLY focuses on boxing. Obviously, you're going to build physical prowess while boxing, but they really stress footwork, head movement, and form. Every trainer focuses on something different, but they are all very knowledgeable, approachable, and helpful. Prices are very fair as well, with many different packages to fit your lifestyle. If you're interested at all, I'd recommend dropping in for a beginner's class!
Glove Up Fitness is a top notch studio! I have been taking the beginning boxing classes with Chris Irving and he is an AMAZING trainer. Even in a full class, Chris is attentive and makes you feel like you are having a private lesson. There are not enough words to describe how friendly, dedicated, and knowledgeable the staff are at this gym. 1000/10 recommend Glove Up Fitness!
Brand new to Glove Up Fitness! I was really hesitant to come due to my physicality, but I went ahead in and got right in. The sign up online was easy, the trainers were great. My goals to work out with Jay Bellville were to build muscle, strength, and improve overall fitness with fantastic results. In the last six months I've taken up tennis again. It's a game I've loved but haven't played for the last 10 years. I've never worked with a pro to learn how to hit the ball correctly and just started taking lessons the last few months. Jay has incorporated specific training to help me with my tennis game. I had my workout with Jay at 11am Monday and a tennis lesson at 2pm the same day and was kind of concerned if I could do both. Jay told me that our workout would help me with my lesson. He was SO right! I was amazed at how much energy I had and how well I hit the ball. I am so excited to play tennis at a higher level. Thanks to Jay's training, I can do that. If you are looking to get stronger or play a specific sport, Jay will help you get to the next level. I am so grateful to have Jay as part of my fitness and wellness team!
Thank you to coach Jay for being so accommodating and fitting me into the schedule on short notice! I was in town for a short timeframe and wanted to work on boxing footwork, defensive movements into counters, and overall refinement of the basics. Each session was intentional, focused and I left after each hour feeling like we made positive progress. Despite my excessive use of the “F” word when I messed up, we kept pushing through until we got the series of combinations perfect. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town!
