I ordered a 7UP pound cake for Christmas to be delivered a few days before. There was a slight mishap w/ the delivery initially but the owner went out of her way to rectify the issue, which was much appreciated. But the cake itself turned out to be one of the best pound cakes I’ve had in a long time!! I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I had it!!! It was absolute perfection. Do yourself a favor and order something from this place today, you won’t be disappointed. - K Carter
This bakery is the best. I come here if not weekly close to it. The treats are top tier, the customer service is unmatched and the offerings are just what we needed. I have to get their peach cobbler cookie, vanilla & chocolate cake, and banana pudding without bananas.
I was tempted to write only "This is the only place you should visit" (and that's true), but then wanted to add something personal, if you don't mind. Beginning with my first visit when my purchase was St. Louis Gooey and about eight other items :-) my full blown commitment was forever made with Good Cakes and Bakes. It is well worth the drive from Wyandotte and let's face it, you are stuck with me as a patron. Of course I keep returning due to the deliciousness, but equally as important...you ALL are so kind, and that really matters to me. Whenever I walk in, I feel at home, and cannot wait to return. Thank you for all that you do, as you spread love in everything you provide. Ted.
Cute spot. Yummy banana pudding. Chef kiss delicious. $8.00 a little expensive but it’s a nice size. Besides the flimsy looking pink shirt corner guys trying to charge $5 for parking, Requesting payment via Venmo or cashapp. Appears a bit questionable. Further, I don’t believe I saw other close lots asking for money. Which can be a little deterrent from patronizing. Especially when street parking is free, I’d still recommend and would return.
This was my very first visit to Good Cakes and Bakes, and it won’t be my last. I tried the Chocolate with Dark Chocolate Frosting Cupcake and a Chocolate Chip Cookie. Both were delicious and pleasantly not too sweet, which I really appreciated. Customer service was excellent. I was greeted right away as soon as I walked in, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. If I find myself craving something sweet again, I’ll definitely be back!
