The place is nice inside, but that’s about it. The service was horrendous. Waiter had an attitude the entire time. Seemed like every time I asked for water, he would huff and puff. Food took over an hour to come out (after ordering). After 45 minutes I asked how much longer it would take, and his response was “it takes as long as it takes, now wait like everyone else”. Then when I got my pizza, it was cold. Cheese hardened. Such a bad experience. I usually like to give places a 2nd chance, but not this one. That waiter, and the food being late/cold was more than enough for me. Place has so much potential to be better than what they are. Hope their staff gets some proper training down the road.
Good pizza joint. Great pizza! We did pepperoni and banana peppers. It was perfect. We had a 12" pizza and it was perfect for 2 people. Great selection of drinks. Great old building. It felt cozy inside. It is right next to 2 distilleries, so we stopped by after our tour. Perfect end for the day.
Goodfellas Pizzeria and Distillery is a must go establishment if you are in or near Lexington. The atmosphere is truly one of a kind. The attention to detail and the preservation of the building's history is commendable. If the service and food wasn't so good. I'd still recommend going just to see it, but the full experience will leave you completely satisfied.
We got our pizza to go mind you, but the interior is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the pizza is some of the best ive had. It's popular so placing an order ahead of time is smart, otherwise expect about an hour wait
If you're visiting Lex,KY you should definitely give Goodfellas a try! The pizza is excellent! The garlic breadstick is to die for! The vibe is spot on! Love when the guy making the pizza sings along to the music! Friendly staff clearing tables!
