Still deserving of 5 stars for sure, but recently I did want to mention that I didn’t have a great check out experience unfortunately. I’m not sure if maybe she was just having a bad day, but it was very odd energy and when my friend and I walked outside we both noticed it. Her demeanor and lack of willingness to help my friend when her plant stand didn’t have a barcode is what made the exchange unpleasant. However, that has been my only off experience at Green Acres. Prior to that, customer service has always been great. I absolutely love the layout of the store. It is always very clean, organized, and they truly do have a fantastic selection of plants and I have gotten several of mine from there. The monstera in the photos is my most recent! 😍
A lovely, organized, clean place to purchase your gardening and landscaping needs. Enormous parking lot. Easy to find. Seasonal decor and plants, seed packets of plants that do well in the region, greeting cards, gifts, and more. Very kindly employees who want to help you find what you are looking for, such as a fancy garden rake or a unique gift for your favorite gardening person. Watch for sales and enjoy best pricing at that time. Otherwise, keep in mind this is not a generic hardware store that also carries plant stuff. They specialize in botanical happiness so it is worth the couple extra bucks to shop here.
I love this nursery. It's a destination for me. I can spend HOURS wandering the expanse of it. It's so clean and inviting. I love the variety of plants, and the accessories, as well. I can always find what I'm looking for. I've had good luck with the plants I've purchased there. No, the prices aren't the lowest, but I have found them to be fair. Some of the people who work there are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I have had a couple of weird experiences (One time, I asked someone working in the flower area if they had a particular flower in stock and she told me to call the store on the phone and ask.), but in general, I love it!!! They have a flower guy named Blaze (Blaise?) who is so nice and knows his stuff. He's genuinely excited for people to have gorgeous gardens. I took my mom there when she was visiting, and she said it was like its own destination you'd see on Trip Advisor or something because it was that fun.
By far the nicest nurseries in town. I love going to local nurseries but I find so many beautiful plants here at decent prices. Their green house is to die for!! Love love this place. Staff is amazing and friendly.
Going to Green Acres Nursery was such an amazing experience. The customer service was amazing, and the staff is very knowledgeable on gardening and houseplants. I've never been to a nursery that carried so many rare and unique plants that were amazingly affordable. I also took a plant potting class that was so much fun. The location was perfect. There's plenty of parking and plants to go around. The biggest bonus to my experience was how well the plants were kept and maintained. I purchased 4 houseplants that were vibrant, healthy, had new grown, and no bugs! I am a happy plant mom, and I can't wait to also visit the Melissa, TX location. Amazing! Green Acres is my new, happy place. 10 out of 10 I 100% recommend.
