Quoted 700-1200 dollars for a bed bug exterminator. Ended up paying about 3,000. Not a single dead bed bug. I have a rental that got bed bugs from guests. Now luckily, we caught it right away but the exterminator said it was a "mild infestation". I put my trust in them and was willing to pay double what I was quoted. I cleared out the entire house of any bedding that got professionally cleaned. Nothing was reintroduced back into the home. All that was left was a bedframe and a bare mattress in every single room. The house stayed completely empty through every treatment process. Let me make this clear. Bedframe and Bare mattress only. No clothes, no bedding, no carpet, no other fabric. There was an inspection and three appointments for the exterminator to come. Every appointment I went to check the house and found LIVE bed bugs on the bed frames. This "extermination" took about a month to complete. On the final appointment, I was told the house is all clear and there are no more bugs. The pictures I added are from the day after the final appointment. From the first day, we had maybe 1 or 2 that were easily visible. By the end of the treatment, there was multiple adult bed bugs along with tons of eggs.
Thank you Greenix for being so convenient to schedule, & so fast to respond! I looked up Pest control yesterday afternoon on Angi's list, & with in 30 minutes I spoke w Greenix. They answered all my questions, & were capable of coming right over today to service our barn! We discovered the mice had borrowed under the slab in our barn, & our barn cats weren't able to get to them. Believe me the cats do amazing, but if they can't reach them, then how do we get rid of them? We can't put poison out at the farm, to many animals would be at risk! So Greenix explained to me they can put boxes out to capture the mice, & the company does monthly maintenance checks to clear the boxes, & replace them. This way our cats wouldn't be in danger of being poisoned! Mikey came on time, deployed the box traps, & was able to put my family at ease that these traps would do the trick. YES I do feel bad about killing mice, but am disgusted by them, & especially after the Hackman case, I didn't want to have my family exposed to the potential haunta virus! Thank you Greenix for being so quick to respond to this barn mouse issue. Especially as it's becoming spring, the population could potentially get EVEN worse! So appreciate your local business, & care to rescue our barn from the mice issue.
