Groove on Hyde Street definitely knows how to keep the party alive! After our initial introductory meeting and reading through reviews, we felt pretty good with our choice in hiring them. We did not have any concerns the day of our wedding with DJ Art. He was very professional, timely, listened and asked great questions, and ensured all songs were played on queue as requested. The dance floor was packed all night long, which is what you want! Since our wedding, we have received many positive comments from our wedding guests about the DJ and lively dance floor. Would highly recommend Groove on Hyde Street for your event entertainment needs.
We had such an amazing experience working with Darius and Blake from Groove on Hyde Street. Everything from the planning to the execution of the evening felt so seamless. We loved using their planning app and selecting songs for the important moments of the evening. The app made things so simple! The night of the wedding, we received so many compliments on the music! Blake played a great selection that vibed really well with the specific songs we chose for the evening. The dance party at the end of the night was the cherry on top of a fun night of great music! Not only was the music on point, but the MC'ing went really well also. I've been to weddings where the progression felt choppy and unnatural, and we really wanted to avoid that at our wedding. Blake handled all of the announcements perfectly, and helped make the transitions from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception feel really smooth. Groove on Hyde Street is an awesome, professional team, and we would work with them again in a heartbeat!
Recently attended a “movie night in the park” produced by Groove on Hyde Street and it was excellent! Darius had a very professional AV rig complete with a massive inflatable screen, projector with high quality imaging, PA speaker system that delivered great outdoor sound including respectable bass, and even a remote battery power source for the audio mixing table. Highly recommend for your next outdoor movie night!
My team and I have worked with DJ Darius multiple times this summer, and I highly recommend him. He’s communicative leading up to the wedding day and always available to answer questions from either myself or my clients. His setup, including lights, fog machine, and DJ booth adds a fun and lively touch that transforms a wedding into a true party atmosphere. Clients love his mixing style with their music, he really knows how to read the room and get people involved. Darius is incredibly easy to work with behind the scenes. He’s flexible, professional, willing to make announcements for upcoming events, and always thoughtful about speaker placement to ensure the best listening experience for guests. DJ Darius is the reason our party was a complete success! I throw a dance party fundraiser every year and the central, most critical component is the DJ! Darius had our party pumped and going for hours! People did not leave that dance floor - which is our biggest goal! People from our event requested his info and expressed how this was our best DJ yet! We will definitely be using Darius next year!
