Gyukaku delivers a really solid Japanese BBQ experience. The meat quality stood out right away—fresh, well-cut, and nicely marbled. Each plate was presented neatly, and the variety made it fun to grill different cuts at the table. The flavors were rich without being overpowering, and everything cooked evenly on the grill. I highly recommend it!!!

The best Japanese BBQ I’ve had when it comes to quality. Came here for my anniversary and got a bundle package that comes with pre selected meats and sides. Everything was REALLY good. My favourite side was the Gyu-Kaku Salad. If you want a super delicious and refreshing drink with your meal I can’t recommend the Melon Soda enough, I was tempted to get two. And of course all the meats were great. Oh and the smores at the end was a fun dessert to have. Highly recommend.

Food is very fresh and delicious. Meat has a very high quality and you can see it from the cut. The only downside is a service that is not very prompt. Also menu has not balanced in terms of variety . Like meat is only mean and no vegetables and/or chicken and no substitute. Otherwise it’s worth the effort and money.

We came to Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ on a Tuesday afternoon. The store was decorated with holiday vibes. It was our first time here so we tried different items just to explore. We got the House Sake, Harimi skirt steak, Bistro hanger steak, Premium Sirloin, Harami in Secret Pot, Kalbi Chuck Rib, Yaki-Shabu beef, Toro Beef, Mushroom Medley and Garlic Fried Rice. And the best of all everything was at happy hour pricing which last till 6pm. The food was amazing and good portion for trying different items. Overall It was fantastic and fun dining experience we had but in terms of parking. You know. It's downtown Toronto 🤷🏻♀️

I had a great dining experience at Gyu-Kaku. The food came out fresh, well-seasoned, and fun to grill—perfect balance of flavor and quality ingredients. The sides and appetizers were also consistent, and everything arrived at the right temperature. Service was friendly, attentive, and quick without being intrusive. Staff explained the menu clearly and checked in at good intervals, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with a comfortable layout that still gives you space to enjoy your meal. It’s a great place for both casual dinners and small celebrations. Overall, a very satisfying visit—good food, great service, and a welcoming vibe. Would definitely come back.
