Today I was very fortunate to have Ellie come to my house for my first training. She did an outstanding job assessing my needs, and we designed some attainable goals for me. Ellie is kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. My experience with Happy Human has been wonderful.
I’ve been working with Ellie for a few months now. She is very knowledgeable and listens and cares about what your body has been through, its unique set of circumstances, and finds ways to help you do work that will make it feel much better. We’ve been focusing areas that will created more stability and balance and by the end of the first month I could do things I was previously nervous about, like opening a sticky window because I thought I’d throw my back out- I don’t worry about that anymore. Most of the things we do are slow and very intentional and really focus on correct movement to make sure I’m getting the most out of the work I’m putting in. It’s not overwhelming, I never feel like I’m dying. Don’t get me wrong, we push me and I work hard, but it never feels too hard or not do able. It feels sustainable and I’m learning a lot, even though I’ve been in and out of the fitness world over the years myself. Not only that but she is a wonderful person, lovely to be around and so easy to talk to!
We have had the pleasure of working with Andrea S. for about a year now. She goes beyond talking proper form and providing exercises. Andrea was so supportive and patient through setbacks and challenges with accountability. She provided coaching along the way that would get us back on track. Trainer Ellie and the team at Happy Human made fitness feel DO-ABLE. I have had both of my hips replaced in the past year and it was ‘a thing’ for me to return to exercise. Ellie was the first person, not even my physical therapist could help, to help me find and reactivate some of the muscles that were ‘asleep’ from the years of pain and then surgery.
