They were so fantastic at my recent visit for a skin irritation on my adult cat. They were extremely thorough in examining Dozer while keeping him as calm as possible. They took extra time explaining things to me and letting me know the plan and all of our options. I wish humans received this level of medical care!
My dog got into some rat poison. They got me in right away and worked with me and the dog on how to best handle things. Luckily she is okay. I really appreciate how kind everyone was, especially because I was having a complete meltdown internally. I’ve been going to Hendricks for years and always have a good experience
We’ve been a customer of Hendricks for several years and were initially happy with them. As other reviewers have noted, the cost of their services continues to rise while the quality of care has greatly declined. Since they moved locations, we’ve left our appointments feeling less good about the care our dog received each time. Our most recent visit will be the last. We brought our elderly golden retriever in for a routine shot and were told there was extra time to complete her annual wellness exam. That turned out not to be true. After nearly an hour, our dog still hadn’t seen a veterinarian, and I needed to leave for work. Rather than rescheduling, they rushed her to the back to administer vaccines, draw blood, and perform what they described as a “comprehensive” exam. In reality, she received little more than five minutes of attention from a vet or vet tech during the entire hour we were there. To make matters worse, we were charged over $100 more than the quoted amount. There were more line items on the invoice than minutes spent with an actual veterinarian. It’s unfortunate, but both the quality of care and the pricing have become unacceptable. We love our old girl and want a vet who does too. We want the best care possible for what are likely her last years. Hendricks is no longer that place for us.
We recently established care for our puppy and had an excellent experience with the veterinary team. Everyone was friendly, and our dog enjoyed his visit and was told multiple times how well he was doing! We had mentioned a potential concern, and they recommended sending a video from home. The response was quick, confirming it was received and under review. When we left, they gave us an incredibly helpful puppy care bag, which included a treat ball and a toothbrush! I will admit the clinic seems to be a bit more expensive than some other options in Boise, but we had heard great things from friends and felt the quality of care made it worth the price.
I really liked Dr. Squires and staff. They are professional yet very approachable and considerate. I thought my 11 yr old dog was going to cross the Rainbow Bridge until Dr. Squires figured out that he has IMHA and thoroughly explained it to me. Then his staff also helped out with a reasonable payment plan with Care Credit. I am so relieved. They are very caring and my dog, Spirit, loves them too.
