Had such a lovely time here today! The selection is phenomenal. The owner is so hospitable (thanks for the tea!) & fun to talk to. Parking was plentiful & easy on a Saturday afternoon. You can tell a lot of love & care is put into the shop & I had a wonderful time browsing. I can’t wait to come back!
Hey Books is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked by, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. Matthew was standing outside his store and kindly invited us in with such a welcoming presence that we immediately felt at home. He went above and beyond in showing us around the store, taking the time to walk us through the different sections especially the kids’ books section, which was thoughtfully curated. His passion for books and his inherent desire to help customers truly shines through. To top it off, we were even offered ginger and turmeric tea, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. Experiences like this are rare. Matthew is truly God-sent and has customer success written all over him. Amazing store, amazing collection, and phenomenal service. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re around town.
Matthew was super helpful and kind. He offered us hot tea and great conversation about books and my husbands hometown of Bologna. We will definitely stop in when in town again!
My friend took me to this book store today and I fell in love!! Matthew (one of the owners) was so friendly and helpful. I spend probably more than an hour here and I just felt so at peace. Each genre is labeled and you can find all sorts of cool books, accessories and tote bags!! It’s a mixture of new and used books!!! It’s all well priced and I loved supporting!! They have this book rec machine thing where you put in a quarter and a mini book comes out. It’s so fun and cute!! Please go and support!
I love that you can’t tell which books are brand new and which are secondhand—really speaks on the quality of their finds here! I also had the pleasure of chatting with Anika, who was so sweet and accommodating (and who I gushed to about finding a copy of Maps by Paula Scher for $25. What a steal ✨) Can’t wait to be back to see what I come out with hahaha. Support your independent, local bookstores folks! I feel like I’d definitely make this a consistent SD stop for my upcoming visits :)
