My wife and I are incredibly grateful to have Anjulena as our first dance instructor. She is so kind, funny, patient and highly professional. Miraculously, she helped us prepare for our first dance with less than a month before our wedding, and mind you, we have never taken dance lessons before. There were many times we doubted ourselves and wanted to cut the dance short, but despite every challenge, Anjulena supported and guided us all the way to the end. On our wedding day, our performance left our guests in awe, some family members were even moved to tears. It was such a surreal and special moment, something most of my family and friends have never seen before in a traditional Vietnamese wedding. Our first dance was truly the highlight of the entire night. Thank you so much Anjulena for giving us a memory we will cherish for a lifetime!
Anjulena is phenomenal. Taking two very inexperienced people with big dreams for their “first dance” and making it all a reality and more. She was encouraging and creative, and worked with us to make a dance unique to who we are as a couple while challenging us to venture out and have fun and take risks. Would recommend her to all. She even showed up, dressed up, and took part in our big day, which meant the world. 10/10.
We are so grateful to Anjulena at Houston Ballroom Dance for making our first dance one of the highlights of our wedding! Before taking lessons with Anjulena, neither of us had any ballroom dance experience, and we were honestly pretty intimidated at first. But from day one, Anjulena made us feel so comfortable. She was incredibly patient, kind, and intuitive, adapting her teaching style to fit me and my husband perfectly. Our weekly lessons became something we truly looked forward to not just for the dancing, but because she made them so fun and encouraging. We loved the experience so much that we even brought our parents in to practice the father-daughter and mother-son dances, which made those moments even more special. By the time our wedding came around, we felt confident, excited, and ready. And almost every guest raved about how amazing our first dance was! We still find ourselves watching the videos and smiling. Working with Anjulena was one of the best parts of our wedding experience.
Anjulena is seriously the best teacher ever. She’s very patient, especially for teaching my husband and I, two people who have never danced at all. She even went to our wedding venue to do a practice run with us to make sure we were comfortable dancing in a new setting. Our first dance was such a big hit and we got sooooo many compliments. Everyone loved it and have been talking about it ever since. I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone.
Anjulena is one of the best, if not the best dance instructor you can find in Houston! She not only teaches professional dance techniques well, but also tailors her teaching for different students. She also teaches relationship and inspires couples through teaching dance. Her dance lessons not only help couples bond with each other but also motivate one to be better. As an educator myself I find her teaching style excellent and personable. I also see her bond with students and help students beyond her classes. She helped us with our wedding first dance and it turned out excellent, many of our guests say that’s the best first dance they’ve ever seen and we were very happy with and proud of it. We can’t wait to continue to work with her!
