I came in to try and fix a hard crashing issue I'd been having lately. The first diagnosis was turning off integrated graphics. Performance kept having issues and when I came back in they told me my RAM was incompatible. In this current market the right ram sticks bottom out at 300 dollars. I decided to keep investigating alternatives and it turns out they pulled up the wrong version of my motherboard; Looking at the 1.0 version instead of the 1.2 compatibility list. I moved my RAM sticks to slots 3&4 and confirmed that the issue was a faulty Slot 2. Had I listened to these guys, I would have spent hundreds fixing the wrong issue instead of just using my MB warranty for free. Two misdiagnoses and a very expensive mistake, I would have been better off not going at all.
I have been a customer of Intrex Computers for over five years both in Durham and the Raleigh store in the Pleasant Valley location. I have always been pleased and satisfied however recently my PC was in for an upgrade and while it was in their possession my AMAZON account was hacked. This was an extremely disturbing event.
Absolutely fantastic store and service. I broke the hinge of my laptop last night. I went to another store and I was told I need to buy the full front panel. Not here at Intrex. They took the laptop in and repaired the hinge in half a day. Writing this review while sitting in the parking lot. I recommend them for their quick and great service.
My old computer (also Intrex) would not accept Windows 11, so I needed another. I'm glad I spent a little more and got another Intrex, even though I had to drive to Greensboro from Winston Salem. They are excellent not only in sales but in service. Two days after setting up my computer, I could not figure out some functions. Eric spent upwards of an hour on the phone with me (I allowed him to get on my computer remotely), and not only solved my problems but adjusted things I didn't KNOW were a problem! Over the years, they have always been available and helpful for all sorts of problems.
I walked in on a Friday afternoon after running around to two different Office Depots, and Ryan completely saved the day! My laptop wasn’t working properly, but he worked his tech magic and—voilà—it was fixed. I highly recommend Intrex to everyone!”
