I was a client of Ironwood for about a year plus . During this time we had a number of discussions with them regarding their selection of mutual funds and other equities for my portfolio. I became convinced that we were not on the same page. I conveyed that i was willing to take on more risk and wanted exposure to Nasdaq listed stocks and etfs. And some tech holdings. However their off site investing team would not go my way. They made one or two moves my way at my insistence. But the vast majority of holdings were in very conservative equites that trailed the broad market . They felt any stock with a higher P/E should be avoided like the plague. Yes they are good at communication, regular reviews, data analysis. But if your looking to grow your wealth, you need a balanced portfolio including Nasdaq positions. if you are looking to preserve capital, then maybe OK with their philosophy. I wanted more, but couldnt get it at Ironwood

Ironwood - specifically - Craig Moore for such great work and peace of mind he gives us. We’re just starting our 60s and moving into as much adventure as we can - without having to micro manage our portfolio. Overall it is still dawning on me that our starting portfolio of "1.0" plus or minus has been sustained while we dipped in for "0.4" plus over the past years.
