01.19.2026 From the Hurst Family….. Our beloved English Bulldog, Deimos, who was with us for 14 wonderful years, passed away on January 10, 2026. Kelly Animal Hospital had been Deimos’ veterinary home for all his wellness care throughout his life, and during one of the most difficult moments we’ve experienced, they showed us an extraordinary level of compassion and care. When Deimos passed early that Saturday morning around 3 a.m., we called Kelly Animal Hospital a few hours later to understand the cremation process. From that first call, they were gentle, patient, and incredibly supportive. When we brought Deimos in, they treated him and us with dignity and kindness. Before we even received Deimos’ remains back, we were deeply touched to receive a sympathy card signed by the entire staff, each with heartfelt messages. It meant so much to us knowing how genuinely they cared for Deimos after being part of his life for so many years. When we returned to pick up his urn, we were truly amazed. Deimos’ ashes were placed in a beautiful wooden box engraved with his name and a tree image on top. They also provided his paw print and a cremation certificate. Every detail was handled with such thoughtfulness and respect it felt deeply personal, not transactional. Kelly Animal Hospital went above and beyond at every step, making an incredibly painful experience just a little more bearable. Their compassion, attention to detail, and genuine love for the animals they care for is something we will never forget. We are forever grateful for how they honored Deimos and supported our family during this time. Thank you very much, Kelly Animal Hospital’s staff!! You are all exceptional 🙏

My oldest is really starting to feel and show her age. She's got cataracts, she has difficulty hearing, she has lost many teeth, and she is very sensitive in her old age. Kellys Animal hospital was able to trim her nails and it made her so happy. She slept so nice and peaceful after the visit and care she had at Kelly's Animal Hospital. The vet noticed something I did not and we are getting that checked out now. If it weren't for them we may not have known, or we may have found out after it was too late. Grateful for Kellys Animal Hospital. Thank you.

I began visiting Kelly’s Animal Hospital 2 years ago when I first moved to PSL. At that time, Dr. Kelly was still the veterinarian: I had no complaints and used this provider for both boarding and general veterinary care. I found Dr. Kelly to be knowledgeable, caring, and he provided the advice and counsel any pet owner would welcome. However, not too long afterwards, he elected to retire and this practice took on several other veterinarians. With this transition, the practice went downhill FAST and has never recovered. This new team is not attentive to the animals, calls for help go unanswered, and there is the general sense that it’s all about the money. The last straws were a couple of prescription refills needed. NO attention was given until I placed several calls and, with one in particular, the script ended up costing me a lot more money than it should have because of their inattentiveness to a time-sensitive matter. Since that time, I have found another provider and am happy. Sad day when Dr. Kelly retired because this practice has never rebounded! Follow-up: The response provided below by Kelly’s is ridiculous and serves as further justification for why I left. Nothing was ever said, by me, regarding following regulatory requirements. My issues were that they did NOTHING and did not communicate with me unless/until I followed up with them. They are not attentive to their clients, which translates to not caring about their clients!

I have been with Kelly's for about a decade and they used to be great. But for some reason the last 3 to 4 years they have become sooo busy that the wait time for an appointment is upwards of a 3 months. They wait staff in the front have become very rude and will leave you on hold and never come back to answer the call. My last appointment was at 9am. l took the day off and I was pulling into the parking lot at 845 when they called and cancelled my appointment. We reset the appointment for a month later. When that appointment came up they called the day before the appointment and left a message again trying to cancel the appointment and moving it moving it to hours earlier. They day of the appointment I called when I got the message to try to reschedule because I missed the appointment because I had not gotten the message. Well the lovely wait staff at the front desk, the older lady just laid into me yelling about missing my appointment like she took it personally. I told her that she was rude and hung up. I then attempted to contact management to complain but no one called me because the message did not go past the old lady up front. Then I was emailed a letter kicking me out as a patient because I was combative, I was calling people names and repeatedly missing appointments. Basically the old lady up front runs the place and your complaints will never go past her. I asked them who l was combative with or what names I called people but as of today l've gotten no response. Also, l've witnessed that same lady at the front desk put people on hold and eat 2 twinkies before answering calls. So that's probably why you're waiting on hold so long. The doctors are really nice and very good at their jobs but avoid the old lady up front she's mean!! Oh, yes I do have proof. The wait lady's going to respond to this and say I'm lying but if you go here, you'll see. I would avoid this place.
