I found Kendra J Bridal via a google search for local wedding alterations. My original seamstress fell through and I was stressing to find someone who could fit me in and bring my vision to life. I am SO thankful I found Kendra J Bridal. Rose was not only able to bring my dress to life but made me feel so calm and relaxed during the process. I was needing to build sleeves that matched my dress and she did just that. I am so impressed with the staff here and for ensuring my dream dress was completed well before my wedding date. I highly recommend Kendra J Bridal for any and all alteration needs!

There aren't enough words to describe the Fairy Godmother wedding dress magic-maker that is Kendra. However... I'll try. I am (admittedly!) a high maintenance bride, and I had a ton of little changes I wanted to make on my difficult-to-alter wedding gown. Add a slit, fix the pleats, add removable straps (for which I had a VERY specific vision), make sure the interior tulle of the dress pulled to the edges so I could properly move and dance, make sure the strapless dress wasn't moving on me one inch, while also making sure I could still breathe and eat... Kendra had the solution for ALL of it. Including so many solve ideas that I would've never thought of. She's clearly an expert in the field of alterations, and she literally said "oh yes absolutely" to every question I had that started with "is there any way to..." FAIRY GODMOTHER. On top of all of that, Kendra has the disposition to calm any high strung bride (or mother) during a potentially stressful part of the process. Her welcoming, kind and "of course we can!" attitude made me so at ease (peaceful, even?), during this process and I cannot state the importance of this enough. Not only that, she made sure the finished product of each adjustment was also up to HER standards, which are high. She was so good that I even had her work on two other wedding looks for me, had her dye my veil to match my dress, and she even helped me adjust my SHOES to my ideal dream look! I mean, what can't she do?! Kendra J - and her sister, who I also worked with in the beginning - are a high-maintenance, type A, dancer & perfectionist bride's dream come true. Cannot recommend them enough with such an important part of such an important time in someone's life. ❤️

I’ve been waiting to write this review because I’m just so thankful for Kendra - she’s incredible. I brought her my mom’s vintage Oscar de la Renta gown, over 30 years old and tucked away in a box. It was outdated, fragile, and deeply sentimental - and I was terrified of choosing the wrong person. But from the moment I met Kendra, I knew she was it. She spent hours with me dreaming up how to keep the spirit of my mom’s dress while making it modern and me. She recommended the best cleaner in Kansas City and helped restore the fabric before completely transforming it. Her craftsmanship is unbelievable - the before-and-after photos say it all. Kendra was endlessly patient, even when I kept changing my mind. She was kind, creative, and always had a solution. Beyond my ceremony gown, she also altered my other three dresses - rehearsal, reception, and after-party - all flawless. And I don’t know if this is a secret, but Kendra even surprised me with a framed sketch of my finished gown - apparently something she does for her custom brides - and it was the sweetest, most personal touch. I have it framed and displayed in our home, and it makes me smile every time I see it - a daily reminder of her incredible work and kindness. I’ve attached multiple photos to show the progression of the dress through the alterations - the first photo is my mom trying on her gown after 30 years, and the last is me on my wedding day. Kendra is fair, professional, and truly an artist who pours her heart into what she does. I feel so grateful to have found her and would recommend her to anyone looking to create or transform their dream dress. It will be the best decision you make. Thank you Kendra!!!

By far the easiest part of wedding planning was having the lovely people at this shop make sure my dress fit perfectly, looked great, and felt comfortable. My seamstress Rose helped design a custom corset to add to my previously backless gown that made all the difference in how I was able to move throughout the big day. I received many compliments on how perfect the fit was and how the dress did not budge or shift out of place at all despite the deep v neckline. Rose was also extremely personable and able to offer many intelligent solutions for me to choose from during the alterations process, all while keeping me aware of the cost associated with each option. I recommend this shop to every bride I know!

Kendra J Bridal was recommended to me by my bridal shop, Savvy Bridal. I was very impressed with how they altered my wedding dress. It fit me perfectly. The girls here are super helpful and attentive. She made sure I could walk, sit, and dance in my dress before leaving. She was very particular- wanting to make sure my dress hit right at the pointed toe of my shoes and even added in bra cups for me to help me feel more secure. Their price point was also very reasonable and I feel like every dollar I spent here was well worth it!
