After 3 failed attempts to get my 2013 Passat repaired at the local Volkswagen dealer, I took it to Kevin's as I had heard good things about their service. The car had quirky electrical issues and needed some expert evaluation skills to diagnose. After a few days, my car had the correct part replaced, reprogrammed, and back up and running. All during the time it was in the shop, I was kept informed of the progress of the work being done and the projected cost involved. I was very impressed with the service and communication provided by Kevin's and highly recommend them.
Brought my 2005 Silverado to Kevin's for a no start issue. Had some CAN Bus system issues causing this. Im a car guy and have done all of my own auto automotive work for nearly 20 years. Building engines, reworking harnesses for engine swaps, front end alignments, & custom fabrication. I've done about all that can be imagined. Was hesitant to let someone else work on it but I just couldn't figure this one out & I've really gotten burned out on working on stuff lately. Was recommended Kevin's by another well known shop in the area. Called made an appointment to drop the truck off on a specific day. Was told if I dropped it off between 7-9am I would have a call with a diagnosis & possibly repaired that afternoon. I dropped the truck off at 7am & that's is exactly what I got by 4pm. They have definitely earned a new customer when they are needed. Will definitely be recommending them to anyone I come across.
Staff is very thorough and knowledgeable about many different vehicles. I've taken both my wife's car as well as my special car that's hard to find parts for. Their prices are fair and the repairs are completed when they say they will be. Kevin's Auto did an excellent job with their service. We won't hesitate to trust Kevin's Auto when we need their service again.
Edit: in response to owner: I never once stated I did my own work and needed to verify anything I simply asked if they balanced new turbos before I looked into purchasing one. If they weren’t rude and had asked for clarification instead of quickly dismissing my inquiry with an attitude they would’ve known I needed one to be installed. The simple fact that they responded like this shows the owner clearly lies and is a dishonest person. I hate to give one stars to local small business but it’s the truth and it’s sad they would make up something like that to respond with to make their company look better but do not trust them! Original review: I called to ask if they offered turbo rebalancing services. The woman who answered said she didn’t know what that was, then asked what vehicle it was for. I explained it would be on a BMW, and instead of transferring me to a technician or asking for more details, she quickly said they don’t do that. She was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the call. What makes it worse is that their website states their mechanics are ready to handle anything your vehicle needs, which is clearly not true. If this is how they handle questions before even looking into the service, I would not trust them with any of my vehicles.
Needed the a/c system inspected due to concerning noises and failure to cool well, and needed a couple of other odds and ends checked while I had the car in a shop. Also needed it all done within a very tight time frame as I was only in town for a week. Kevin’s was very understanding and flexible to meet my time frame, and actually finished ahead of schedule. Along those lines, the final cost actually came in below the estimate which was fair and reasonable to begin with (based on having similar work done on previous vehicles at different shops). I am sure there will be times where you might find better pricing, but I feel like you’d be hard pressed to find better customer service.
