The portion sizes at kokoro are large, the staff a amazingly polite and considerate to you catering needs. The foods quality i received has always been consistent when i go here, nice little upstairs area to eat. The chicken is halal is your can't eat any of the beef which is great along with the sushi

Located right in the city center opposite the Lloyds Bank, this restaurant is my absolute favorite in Liverpool. The food here is always fresh and incredibly delicious. The staff are wonderfully friendly. They always patiently and enthusiastically explain the menu to me in detail, and their smiles never fail to brighten my day. Every dish is worth trying. If you enjoy sweet flavors, you could try the chicken with pineapple dish. It has never disappointed me!

Server was kind, food was delicious, prices aren’t too bad. The upstairs has seats with plugs to charge your phone, and everything is really clean. The decor is a bit industrial, but it didn’t effect my experience.

I really like this restaurant that serves sushi along with Japanese and Korean dishes, and I’m glad they use halal meat. There are plenty of menu options to choose from. The service is fast, the prices are affordable, and the portions are generous. The flavours suit our taste very well. There are also many seats available upstairs if you prefer to dine in. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

I’m so upset to write this review about Kokoro because I have loved it for so many years and have been a loyal customer . I went around 6pm on the 28/11/25 and had the worst service experience in my life with the guy working there. First, I wasn’t expecting anything so I said hi enthusiastically and about to order, the server said “ what do you want” - not even looking at me and no smile. I then proceed to order for takeaway. As soon I saw him pouring curry on my noodles, I asked him kindly “ can I please have the curry in a box?” And then he snapped at me saying “why didn’t I tell him this before” in the MOST rudest cheeky arrogant tone. I was so shocked and this, even the order customers looked at me straight away with shock on their face. He acted as though I said something so inconvenient for him. He proceeded to speak about this in the kitchen where all of us customers could hear him bad mouthing and they had to ask if I was alright.. P.S I have ordered takeaway for the noodles multiple times, if it’s takeaway they have always given me a out of curry separately - if he didn’t want to fine, but he could have let me know so much nicer. Imagine ordering for a £10 fast food meal, almost the price as a sit down restaurant and they can’t even have the courtesy to put the curry sauce separately so the food wouldn’t get soggy Little do they know, I’ve worked in kokoro since before Covid for 2 years and know the owners. I come to find that the previous owner told me they left in March which makes me understand why the service was SO bad. As the previous owner always put customer service first. To top it all off 😂 maybe because the server was annoyed at me, he gave me only 3 slices of chicken in a LARGE mix and match that cost almost £10 ….
