From the moment I contacted the firm, I received the most personalized attention I've ever experienced. Wilson responded immediately, listened attentively to my case, and my appointment was scheduled quickly. As soon as I shook Wilson's hand, I knew I was at the best law firm in the area. Wilson listened to my case and referred me to Paulo, an attorney with extensive experience in cases like mine. Paulo was very thorough and detailed, answered all my questions, and always presented me with all the available options, along with their advantages and disadvantages. I highly recommend this law firm; they truly understand their clients' needs and put themselves in their clients' shoes.
Had a great experience with the team at KPB. Their staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and courteous at every step of the process. They were very prompt in filing applications and responding to my queries, as well as in ensuring I received documents all documents as quickly as possible. 5/5 experience.
Negligence, Misrepresentation, and Lack of Professional Integrity We are writing this review because what happened to our family was not a simple mistake — it was ongoing negligence followed by denial and misrepresentation by attorney Wilson Purves and KPB Immigration Services. We hired this firm in 2017, trusting them with our U-Visa case and our future. Immigration status affects every aspect of a family’s life, and we believed a licensed attorney would act with care, honesty, and responsibility. Unfortunately, that trust was broken. Over several years, USCIS sent critical notices — including approvals and our work permit — to Mr. Purves’ former office address. These notices were not communicated to us. As a result, our work permit was approved and mailed in 2022, yet we were never told. We lost over a year of lawful work authorization, job opportunities, financial stability, and peace of mind. When we began asking questions in 2023, our case was passed between assistants without explanation. At times, staff could not locate our file. When we finally met with Mr. Purves, it was clear he was unfamiliar with our case and was reviewing it as if for the first time. What is most disturbing is that Mr. Purves repeatedly provided information that was directly contradicted by USCIS records and our FOIA file. He told us: That approvals had not been issued when they had That USCIS never sent documents when tracking records showed they were mailed That a FOIA was never received, even though his own staff had already provided it to us These statements were not minor misunderstandings — they conveniently shifted responsibility away from his office and onto USCIS, despite clear documentation showing otherwise. We later personally confirmed that USCIS mail for Mr. Purves has been delivered to his old office address for years. The building concierge showed us unsecured USCIS letters addressed to him, stored in an open drawer accessible to multiple people. These included confidential client information. Seeing people’s immigration lives treated this way was shocking and deeply upsetting. Instead of acknowledging the harm caused or taking responsibility, Mr. Purves denied any wrongdoing and ultimately abandoned our case, leaving us to fix the consequences of his firm’s failures on our own. This experience caused our family severe stress, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion. Immigration cases demand diligence, transparency, and ethical responsibility. In our experience, when serious errors were uncovered, the response was not accountability, but denial. We are sharing this review because families deserve honesty when their lives and futures are at stake. We strongly caution anyone considering this firm to do thorough research and ask very direct questions.
Mr Wilson Purves was extremely helpful, considerate and informative. He assisted me in understanding the complex in’s n out’s of the immigration asylum process in relation to my dad’s case. Extremely grateful for discovering his firm.
Very grateful for Wilson’s work. He helped me understand everything related to my student visa in the US and explained all the steps clearly. He was always available when I had questions. Amazing experience, and he also speaks Spanish. Highly recommended.
