Absolutely a dream experience! We decided about 4 months prior to our wedding to begin taking dance lessons, neither of us have any dance experience. Several of the other studios that we reached out to stated that it was too late for us to begin lessons. La Danse said that it was absolutely not too late, and we began right away. Megan was our instructor, and she was wonderful to work with! We expressed that we did not want a dance that looked choreographed, but we wanted to learn how to dance. Megan assured us that it was OUR dance, and we can add or take away anything that we wanted! She choreographed a combo of the foxtrot and rumba to our song, and taught us basic steps first. Once we had those down, she choreographed an intro, which only took us one class to learn. We did request to tweak a few of the moves to make it feel less choreographed, and she happily re-worked things. We signed up for 5 classes initially, and they were very accommodating with our difficult schedule. We took classes about once a week, and we were finished learning the dance by the end of the 5 sessions. We added on a few refresher sessions closer to the wedding to make sure we felt comfortable. We had a little extra time at some of the classes, and she taught us a few swing steps, which was so much fun! The dance was absolutely perfect at the wedding! Other than a music malfunction, everything went smoothly. We felt confident in our skills, and we were able to talk during our dance instead of thinking about the next move! All of our guests absolutely loved it! I would highly recommend!
My fiance and I came to La Danse to have our Wedding first dance choreographed! Johnathan was such an amazing instructor and we looked forward to our lessons each and every week. Thanks to him our first dance is going to be absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back to learn some other dances and give the group classes a try. Highly recommend to any other couples looking for wedding choreography of any kind!
My husband and I have taken 5 private lessons with Megan. She was such a great instructor and made everything very easy to follow. I had no prior experience and she made learning steps and turns in salsa, bachata and rumba seem very doable and accessible. She is patient, kind, consistent and always remembers little details about us. Megan is such a delight to work with!
My husband and I have been students and social dancers at La Danse for many years. Obviously--we love it. Our teachers have been great, expanding and fine tuning the various dances we enjoy. The wood floor is kept in excellent condition, and is large enough for multiple student/teacher teams to work at the same time,
Ich nehme hier seit etwa einem Jahr Privatunterricht, und ich liebe es! Die Dozenten sind äußerst sachkundig und darauf vorbereitet, dich auf allen Niveaus des Gesellschaftstanzes zu unterrichten (Gold, Silber, Bronze... oder auch, wenn du nur ein paar Grundlagen lernen möchtest). Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und leidenschaftlich bei der Arbeit. Ich glaube, einer meiner Instruktoren hat vor einigen Monaten bei einem Wettkampf in Las Vegas den 6. Platz weltweit belegt, also bekommst du wirklich hervorragende Anleitung von einigen der weltbesten Tänzerinnen und Tänzer!\n\nIch habe hier einige 1-Stern-Bewertungen gesehen und mir ist aufgefallen, dass sie sich meist um die Qualität eines Gruppenunterrichts drehen. Wenn du mehr Aufmerksamkeit auf deine bereits vorhandenen Fähigkeiten haben möchtest, dann ist Privatunterricht definitiv der Weg, den du gehen solltest. Die Gruppenklassen sind großartig, aber Privatstunden sind der Ort, an dem du die persönliche Betreuung bekommst und wirklich auf dem Vorwissen aufbauen kannst. Es gibt viele Feinheiten der Tanzbewegung, die wahrscheinlich in einer Gruppenstunde der Stufe eins nicht abgedeckt werden.
