A beautiful waterfront for a walk. Nearby there’s a fire station with a fireboat — it’s interesting to see and read about the history of Fire Station 112. Along the waterfront, you’ll find the famous fish market — on weekends the line is huge, but on weekdays it’s much quieter. It’s also a great spot to watch the massive cargo ships arriving at the Port of Long Beach. Overall, a great place for a stroll.

This was a lovely day out! We parked right outside the Maritime Museum and started our day there. It's a lovely little museum, run by enthusiastic volunteers who gave us a warm welcome. The waterfront is clean and well cared for and there are security people around to make sure it stays that way. They were also really nice - helpful and friendly. There are public restrooms across from the museum, which is helpful. We took a short harbour cruise - that was really nice and very interesting - We sailed close to USS Iowa which is berthed close to the museum. The Iowa is open to the public, but we didn't have time to visit.

Love the scenery and views. Chose a Friday, summer afternoon to visit and walk around and take in the atmosphere. Parking is limited, and you have to pay ($10). We found street parking and walked 2 blocks. Lots to see, and do. From rental bikes to harbor cruises and plenty of area to walk along the Harbor. Will return again.

Overall, this was an excellent day out. The best $35 I've spent in a long time. We didn't see whales on our trip, but we saw the most fun dolphins! There were a BUNCH of them. The ones close to the boat were racing the boat (even a baby dolphin). The ones further away were jumping out of the water. Although I didn't see a whale during this trip it was still a blast and I will definitely do this again. Parking is nightmarish. Carve in extra time for that. There is a loooong line to get into the parking lot. Where they could do better is organizing around the kiosk. Lots of confusion and milling around there. It should be easy, visible, and accessible for those who paid on line and just need a ticket. Or better yet, come into the 21st Century and have a QR code on the email confirmation that can be scanned at the dock.

Wasn't able to go on beach due to construction so didn't see much but surrounding beaches are beautiful. Only one sad thing is the litter that's brought in from the ocean waves. Did some pick up filled a big garbage bag full of plastic, fishing wire and plastic bottles. They have garbage cans everywhere and a garbage truck drives in and empties them. They have fire pits. If I only had time it would of been fun at nite.
