The entire Lakás team has been wonderful right from the start. I originally came in for help with some injuries stemming from overuse and chronic health issues, mainly in the knees and a shoulder. I started working with Ankita until she went out for surgery and she was absolutely amazing. The last few months I’ve been working with Joe and he has been phenomenal at not only taking my recovery the rest of the way, but getting me back to running and heavier lifting. His ability to adjust programming when I’m struggling with my chronic health issues (or for any reason) has made all the difference in my ability to train consistently. I’ve been able to do some 5k runs with a 10K lined up for March. I can take my dogs on walks and runs, clean my bunnies’ pens, and go up and down the stairs with no pain. Something I haven’t been able to do in a long while. Both my fur babies and I are so grateful! I’m so excited to continue training with Joe and see what I can accomplish. Thank you!!
Lakas has become the go-to spot for Ultimate Frisbee players in Sacramento. Joe and Kim helped me get back to playing after repeated hamstring injuries. PT here is different because they program sport-specific movements and educate on longterm injury resiliency. Most recently, I came in with a hamstring injury and asked to be back at full speed in 3 weeks. It was mission impossible but they made it happen for me. Joe, Kim, Ankita, and Lisa are genuinely invested in the patients and the community. Also, the vibe in the clinic is super fun.
Ankita is an incredible PT and human. I've had complex hip and foot pain for the last year, and she provided an eval that was as joyful as it was comprehensive and detailed. The clinic is warm, comfortable, and accessible in every way, and I love how closely the team works together. Would recommend to anyone in need of highest quality PT support.
The Lakás PT team (Joe) has been amazing to work with! I initially came with a calf issue (due to increased mileage from running) and a pulled muscle in my back (not related to running). In every appointment, Joe has been an attentive listener, asking thoughtful questions, and delving into the underlying causes of my aches. He quickly addressed these concerns and helped me achieve my goals of getting back on track for my running. As things improved, Joe challenged me to push myself beyond my limits. He’s adapted my training workouts to ensure they’re both challenging and achievable. Now, I’m back on track to finish my best running year yet, with more PRs than I ever thought possible in a season. The Lakás team is great! I decided to give them a try when physical therapy with my usual provider was not cutting it. I went in with nagging pain in my hamstring tendon. Kim develop a plan to get me back to playing my sport. After a month or so, I was able to get back to it with modifications to my play. After 4 months, I was able to start playing without any modifications. I think the biggest reason PT here is worth it, is because there are always setbacks that you’ll face in this process, and this team is going to be there every step of the way to help you modify your plan.
