The service at Laptop Repair Geeks of DC was beyond my expectations. I called them to request a battery replacement for my laptop. They told me they would send me a quote within the day, and if I agreed, they would order the battery, which would take four business days, and replace it. The battery arrived within three business days. They contacted me and replaced it immediately. Richard was attentive at all times until the battery was changed. They were very efficient, friendly, and fast. I have no complaints, and I highly recommend them. Thanks to Richard and Darnell.

I very rarely leave google reviews, and have never left a negative one. However, my experience with this business was unfortunately extremely negative and - given the generally positive reviews here - I thought I should add my experience for balance. I sent my laptop in to have its keyboard replaced. The pickup process was smooth and professional. I was told that the repair would take 2 business days. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the replacement part that LRG ordered, adding a delay of an additional 4 business days. When the new part arrived, LRG informed me it would take an *additional* 3 business days to repair my laptop. I understand that things happen outside of folks’ control, however I would have expected that once the new part was received, it would be immediately installed. I certainly could not imagine that it would take longer to install than the entire originally estimated time of 2 days. This was not due to added complexity in the repair, but rather because “we currently have over 30 repair orders in the que and approximately “9 or so work orders” are ahead of your repair order and they are mostly gaming laptops…..”. Throughout this entire process I had to continually follow up for information, as it was no proactively provided, which was of course irritating. I eventually requested a refund, and received my - unrepaired - laptop back, 10 business days after originally submitting it to LRG. I am still waiting on the refund more than a full week later.

Where do I begin, our son's laptop battery became swollen to the point that the frame of his laptop started to separate and looked like it was going to burst open (see pics). He goes to school in DC and we live in California, so we had no idea what to do or where to take it to get it fixed, so we started to look around and by some stroke of luck we found Laptop Repair Geeks of DC and we could not be more grateful. Richard and Darnell were beyond helpful in diagnosing the issue, ordering a new battery, installing the new battery, and picking up and dropping off the laptop. The swollen battery case ended up being the most severe case they have seen in 8 years of business!!! The left side of the battery casing/frame was lodged/stuck under the motherboard and the center structure of the battery has split exposing the battery's internal cells. To say it was in BAD shape is an understatement and they weren't sure if they would be able to fix it, but they did it!!! It was no easy task....they had to remove the motherboard to free the battery from the chassis to replace it. Their work was impeccable and they did it very quickly and kept us posted on their progress the whole time. On top of the wonderful repair job, they also cleaned the internal chassis and associated CPU/GPU fans (which were very dirty!!!). We are beyond happy and just grateful for the service received. With finals coming up in a couple of weeks, it would have been challenging for our son not to have his laptop and they fixed it and got it back to him quickly and the cost was very, very reasonable. Thank you, Richard and Darnell! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Laptop Repair Geeks of DC if you are having any laptop issues in the DC area. They are the best of the best. Superb service, outstanding workmanship, professionalism, great communication, timely, and very reasonable pricing. They are top-notch. If I could give them a million stars I would!
