I had lip filler here and I was so so happy. I’ve never had it before and I was really nervous that it would look unnatural, but it looked great and I just finished my second half of my treatment. April was my nurse and I highly recommend her.
I am deeply sad that I am writing this review. I have been going to Laseraway for years and at other locations in Socal but while visiting my family in the bay area I decided to give this location a try. My first visit back in May was extremely positive including the welcome desk staff and my injector, I believe named Esther was extremely knowledgable. This convinced me to come back but what a mistake was made! On my visit 2 weeks ago the welcoming from the staff was lackluster but with these types of places it usually is. So it's to be expected. My biggest upset was with who my injector was. I am deeply scarred and traumatized by my experience and believe this injector should not have been working at all! When she greeted me in the room she was chewing gum, so that was quite interesting and very unprofessional. But where the real issue begins is during the injections for my botox she had a severely shaky hand and dropped the injection needle times. I understand our hands shake but she could barely get the needle into the injection site because her hands were shaking so bad. I also believe she mishandled some of the units of botox I was supposed to received due to her negligence. I was kind and calm about her mistake however when it came to injecting my face (which I have had done before and am seasoned in this procedure) her hand was shaking continuously. So much so she could not find a proper placement after making the white dots. I endured the procedure because I simply did not know how to react and was appalled by her actions. Although she apologized for hand even how she was trying to place my botox from behind me in the chair and over my head did not seem correct. In total she dropped the injection needle 3 times and after each time she did re-glove and get a new needle however this is excessive and warrants that she was simply a novice in this field who should not be injecting!. If I ever return to this location I will specifically ask to never be injected by her and hope that others are aware of this. Not only were some of my units wasted but also I noticed a small dimpling on my forehead which I believe was due to misplacement. I hope it wears off but wanted to warn to please be aware of who is injecting you and ask for credentials and background. Hoping to help someone else who doesn't have to experience this. So sad...I used to really like this place.
I had a great experience at LaserAway in Emeryville from the very start. I originally reached out because I saw they were running some sales, and my first point of contact was Hayley. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and thorough, she walked me through all my package options and explained the financing clearly, which I really appreciated. The day before my first appointment, I received a call from Esmeralda, who was also super kind and helpful. I had accidentally double-booked myself, and she worked with me to adjust the timing without any issue. On the day of my appointment, I got a text letting me know they were running about 15 minutes behind. I was already nearby, but the proactive communication was definitely appreciated. When I arrived, I was greeted right away by the front desk staff, including Esmeralda again, who was just as friendly in person as she was over the phone. My nurse, April, was amazing. She made me feel comfortable the entire time, answered every question I had, and was incredibly patient. I felt very well taken care of, and I even requested to book all my future appointments with her. Overall, the entire team was warm, communicative, and professional. I’m really happy I chose this location and feel confident continuing my treatments here.
I recently reached out to LaserAway Emeryville for a consultation with Hayley, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. After signing up, I received a call asking me to text photos of the areas I wanted treated. Later, I got another call explaining the number of sessions, pricing, and a special promotion. I was also sent some information about the treatment and told to “do my homework” before deciding. When I followed up, I was told multiple times how busy they were and had difficulty getting clear answers or consistent communication. I expressed interest in trying just one session first before committing to a full package, but instead of understanding that, I was pushed to purchase a large package upfront. As soon as I said I might be interested, I was immediately asked for my credit card or to finance the treatment — only then would they schedule an appointment. I was never invited to see the clinic, the technology, or meet anyone in person. The entire process felt rushed and impersonal. I honestly felt like they couldn’t make time for me, that my time wasn’t respected, and that I was being pressured into spending a large amount of money without transparency. It felt more like a sales pitch than a professional consultation — almost like a scam. In the end, I decided to go somewhere else and was able to receive the treatment the same day. The price was very comparable — even slightly higher — but I didn’t mind paying more for genuine service, professionalism, and respect for my time. Overall, I left my interaction with LaserAway feeling completely turned off. I did not feel valued or respected as a potential client, and I won’t be returning.
