I bought a Lectric Xpedition here. TBH I inquired about this same bike in a few different shops and this shop was the only one that got back to me. I appreciate the customer service. I'll be back again for my future purchases on bikes.
I discovered this bike shop a couple months ago after learning they had a Marin bike in stock that I was interested in buying. I mostly communicated with Jason and he was very responsive, nice, and welcoming. This is a small bike shop with a decent inventory for its size. I really enjoyed my experience purchasing my bike from Laurel Cyclery. Laurel Cyclery is a great bike shop with friendly staff.
This bike shop is in our neighborhood, but we hadn’t visited it before as we’re not big bikers. This time, we brought our son’s bike in for him to get repaired and tuned, as he hasn’t ridden it for a few years. Carlos was so helpful in explaining what needed to be done and the safety check they perform. We were so impressed. We left it, and it was finished in just a few days at a very reasonable price to get a bike ready to go again. We highly recommend you go here. The people are more personable, knowledgeable, and helpful than we’ve found at the big bike shops in the area we’ve visited before, and they offer more affordable prices. They have many great new bikes and bike equipment to purchase as well! I’m so happy we can support our local business, and I’m passing the word to all our family and friends, most are native Oaklanders who love Oakland and look for areas to support our own! Thank you so much!
I had the best bicycle purchasing experience with the guys at The Laurel Cyclery. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Good vibes too. If you are looking for a bike or accessories this is the spot. I am 68 and had not ridden a bike in almost 4 years and Jason, the owner, personally adjusted my seat and gave me tips and watched me ride off.
