I unfortunately had to part ways with this veterinary hospital. I’ve used them for around a year for my 3 pets. I had called to schedule an appointment for my cat to get her yearly exam and an updated vaccine. The call went great, we got the appointment scheduled for 2-3 weeks later, and I thought that was that. When I showed up for my appointment, the receptionist couldn’t find my appointment. He was very nice during the process (wish I had his name) and did everything he could to figure it out. He ended up going to the person above him to ask for help (manager maybe? I’m not sure) and this is where things started to upset me. The lady who he brought out told me I had no upcoming appointments for any of my animals. I figured there may have just been a scheduling mistake and if that was the only problem then it wouldn’t have been a big deal, people make mistakes. The issue is that this woman offered no solution. She just stared blankly at me, didn’t seem apologetic, and just didn’t seem to care about solving the problem. She also said something about how I owe them money(??) but didn’t go into detail. I figured if I owed them money they would have contacted me about that, but I never once got a call or email or anything from them. I’m giving two stars because literally every other staff member I’ve met there have been awesome, kind, and friendly. But that one woman is the reason I’m leaving. I also feel like I should state that I’m overall a very calm, positive person. If I was raising my voice, giving attitude, or anything of that nature I could understand why this woman would seem displeased talking to me. I don’t know if this woman just naturally has an off-putting personality or what but that still wouldn’t excuse the fact she didn’t care to offer any solution and she seemed like she just wanted the interaction to be over as soon as possible. This happened weeks ago and I’m still upset about it. I live off Lawndale so this has been a convenient location, the veterinarian I saw was great, receptionists are always awesome, and the place looks kept clean, so it really is a good place for the most part. Maybe that woman was in a bad mood that day, I don’t know. I’ve since found a new veterinary office and have obtained my pets’ previous records from Lawndale so I’m officially moving on after this review.

Originally came to this vet for our 2 cats a year ago and then recently added our new puppy, Butters. They love Dr. Peters! They always schedule very quickly and close to when you need to get your pet in. A little pricier compared to other vets I have been to in the area, but it’s worth the care they give.

Disappointed with Grooming Experience We’ve been bringing our Bernese Mountain Dog here for over a year for vet care and have always had positive experiences on that side of things. We've also used the bathing and brushing services a few times without issue. However, our recent experience with grooming was unfortunately very disappointing. Before the appointment, we met with the groomer and were very clear that we wanted a trim, not a shave. As anyone familiar with this breed knows, their double coat should be maintained properly, and shaving is not typically recommended. We felt confident going in, but that’s not what happened. We dropped her off at 8:30 AM, and didn’t hear anything until 2:30 PM, when we were told they were just about to begin grooming. It was very concerning to learn she had been waiting in a kennel for six hours before anyone even started on her. When we picked her up at 4:30 PM, we were surprised and upset by the result. The grooming did not resemble what we had discussed, and her coat was uneven and patchy — nothing like a professional groom. More concerning, she came home limping, and we’ve since contacted the vet to look into an issue with her back leg. We’ve had good experiences with the vet team here, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend the grooming services. The lack of communication, the results, and the potential injury have left us with serious concerns. Below are before (left) and after photos (right)

Lawndale continues to provide exemplary medical care to my pets. I have been a client since 1996 and over the years, I know all our animals have been very well cared for. I would recommend them highly!
