Ling Wu is hands down our favorite dumpling spot in Austin and a place we never skip when we’re in town. The food is consistently excellent, and the experience as a whole keeps us coming back. The soup dumplings never fail—perfectly made, full of flavor, and incredibly satisfying every single time. You can tell a lot of care goes into the menu, and it shows with every bite. On top of that, the specialty drinks are always a fun surprise, creative, well-balanced, and a great complement to the food. What really elevates Ling Wu, though, is the staff. Team members like Jake are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, making the experience feel welcoming and personal rather than rushed or transactional. If you’re visiting Austin and love dumplings, Ling Wu should absolutely be on your list. It’s a place we recommend without hesitation and one we’ll keep returning to.

Oh my gosh. We can’t stop coming back for the LOBSTER special. I mean it’s the best lobster we have ever had. All the food is incredible. Patrick is so awesome. The best waiter.

Kayla was amazing! The food was fantastic. We had a party of almost 40 and she worked that table and provided better service than I have had as a table of 4! Highly recommend. Authentic food! My personal fav was the pecan shrimp! Noise was loud but colleagues were noisy! They had us in separate room not to bother the rest of the customers

absolutely loved my experience at Ling Wu at Lantana Place. The décor is spectacular and creates such a great atmosphere. The soup dumplings were incredible, and the fried rice and sesame chicken were simply delicious. I also tried a very unique dessert that I found both beautiful and original. I heard the chef is the same as at Qi in downtown, which makes perfect sense given the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

We dined this evening, and the service was fine. The food was above average, but nothing was a "destination dish". There is nothing we ate that made us say "We need to go back there for that!". The restaurant was loud, which made conversation difficult. Overall, an average to slightly above average experience. If someone asked me where to get dim sum in Austin, I would direct them to Wu Chow downtown, then Ling Wu as a fallback option.
