Me and my family came here on Friday January 2nd 2026 . We always see a lot of cars here so we figured the food was good so we decided to give it a try . Customer service wasn’t the best they had someone trying to take our order who didn’t speak any English at all . Food wasn’t the best my stomach is actually messed up from the enchiladas I haven’t ate anything since eating from there due to not having an appetite. They never came to ask us how was the food or anything. It was a party of 4 check was split into 2 the guy didn’t comprehend and kept messing up the check . So we just paid told him to leave as it was and we paid it . I will not be returning back here due to the service and me not liking the food . But the atmosphere is nice.
I loved this place when I lived on this side of town 15 yrs ago. I visited again last night and the flavors, customer service and atmosphere has not changed. I absolutely LOVE LOPEZ
Lopez on Wilcrest never disappoints! The food is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The queso with ground beef is hands down one of the best in Houston, creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned. Their quesadillas are loaded and cooked just right, with that perfect golden crisp. The fajitas come sizzling and tender, packed with flavor and served with all the right fixings. And don’t even get me started on dessert. The churros are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the flan is smooth, creamy, and perfectly sweet. Top-notch food, great service, and a real family-friendly vibe. Lopez on Wilcrest is easily a Houston classic and highly recommended!
This place is massive. Has phenomenal number of seats and equal amount of parking as well. The decor is tastefully done and the staff is courteous. The food has the potential to be better. Their quantity is large but lacks flavours that stand out.
Have heard great things about this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Such a beautiful dinning room and bar. Its hard to believe this place has been here for decades. Homemade Tortillas were GREAT! I had a burrito covered in Mexican gravy chili. Perfect seasoning and the same to the salsa that came with the chile relleno.
