I love coming to Luminary! Carly is fantastic at what she does. Not only is she the most thorough hair stylist I’ve ever been to, but she is also the kindest. I really appreciate how much care she puts into making sure that my haircut is perfect each time. And it is! She is very knowledgeable when it comes to long and thick hair. I’m very happy to have found Carly at Luminary :)
It was my first time at Luminary and I have not had a great haircut or haircut experience in a really long time (lived in a much smaller city since 2020). Moved to Richmond and found Luminary, and I am so thankful I did! I was able to get a next day appointment with Claire, who gave me a fabulous haircut and a fabulous experience. Truly a unique and wonderfully welcoming atmosphere they have created. This is my new regular place.
Just wanted to recommend Tori! Not only are they an extremely talented stylist, they don't force the small talk, and are incredibly good at adapting to your preferred communication style. I always have slight anxiety about getting my hair cut because it means I have to yap to a stranger for an hour. But with Tori it was just really comfortable. And my hair looks great LOL.
Luminary is a fantastic place to get whatever you need hair related. Super professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I’ve been working with Taylor for a few months to get the perfect mullet tweaking little differences each appointment. The subtle changes I’ve requested she fulfilled knowing exactly how to achieve what I’m asking!
This is the only salon I will trust with my hair, I cannot recommend them enough!! Kaylee worked their magic with first the blonde balayage then killed it again when I wanted to go red, the color is still vibrant after multiple washes and my hair feels so healthy ♥️ the cut is also exactly what I wanted, thank you so so much!
