We bought a 1960s mid-century home, and M. Swabb Interior Design was able to absolutely transform it. They made our space feel modern, clean, and functional for our lifestyle, while still preserving the beauty, charm, and original character that made us fall in love with the home in the first place. Maegan and her team are professional, easy to communicate with, and they truly take the time to understand how you use your home and why you love it—and they put that care into every detail of the design.
Working with Maegan Swabb and her incredible team was hands-down one of the best decisions I made for my new build home in La Jolla. From the very beginning to the final finishing touches, Maegan was there every step of the way—bringing creativity, clarity, and calm to what could have easily been an overwhelming process. Her eye for design is unmatched. Maegan took my vision and elevated it beyond what I could have imagined, creating a home that is not only beautiful but also functional and personal. Maegan and her team are absolutely amazing!!! They helped us create an amazing vision for our home, and walked with us every step of the way from what we want our space to feel like, all the way to helping us literally move couches to where they need to be! I can't say enough about M. Swabb, and I'd HIGHLY recommend them to everyone I know!
If I could leave 10 stars I would!! I cannot say enough amazing things about Maegan and her team. She made our kitchen completely come to life during our remodel by helping us with make some key decisions that truly just make the kitchen pop! She also helped us decide where to have our living room vs dining room given our funky layout. It's truly amazing what Maegan came up with- she really has a talent. Her ability to match patterns, colors, textures, is truly unmatched. The renderings really came to life and helped us see what she was thinking too! The furniture and decor she just just goes perfectly!! Our home feels so cozy and beautiful and I am so excited to host family and friends! Look no further, I highly recommend!!
We worked with Maegan and her staff on our very first home improvement project. We were very pleased with the results and love our new bathroom which prompted me to write this review. I’m not going to talk to much about her sense of style, the pictures can do that, but what I was most impressed with is her professionalism. The process started with her visiting our home to get a general sense of our style and to interview us about the project. She asked thoughtful questions and took detailed measurements of our current space. With a short time we had the initial designs and was surprised how close to the mark they were. I was expecting a number of rounds of back and forth before we got to that point so it showed she really had an understanding of our priorities and style. Since this was our first project, and I’m a very detail oriented person, I had a lot of questions and really wanted to understand everything about the process. She was patient and prompt when answering my questions and going over the details, sometimes repeatedly. I really appreciated that because I know we weren’t her biggest client. I was also impressed with her taking the initiative and working with our general contractor to make sure we where all on the same page. This lessened my stress level knowing that things were going to plan. I couldn’t recommend Maegan and team enough and am excited to start working with them on our new kitchen!
