Ms. Genevieve taught me for the past decade (2014-2024), and she is an amazing teacher. She does a wonderful job at teaching playing technique and music theory, and she makes the fundamentals at any skill level fun to practice. As a person, she is very kind, understanding, and patient. She does a great job at growing and supporting student’s passion for piano. Every lesson is quite enjoyable. She picks great music choices, but also gives students the freedom to pick their own songs. Under Ms. Genevieve, you will learn proper recital etiquette with bi-annual piano recitals, performed by all of her students. Overall, Ms. Genevieve is a fantastic teacher, and someone I recommend to have teach you or your kid.
Genevieve has been teaching my children for the past 3 years or so. During that time, she has consistently been kind and patient as they advance in their playing skills. We get to see evidence of this growth when we see them perform in her bi-annual recitals which take place in a beautiful space in Pasadena. They have also increased their knowledge of music theory. Genevieve has been flexible to work with whenever we need to hold our lessons virtually or whenever we needed to make changes to our schedule. And she often takes our kids' opinions into consideration when giving them new pieces to play.
My son has been taking piano for almost 4 years with Genevieve. We can’t say enough of how wonderful she is as a teacher. My son really enjoys his classes and she has really helped him feel confident when performing at his recitals. The recitals really showcase her talent teaching and the talent of all levels and ages of children and young adults. It’s something that we really look forward to.
My daughter started piano lessons with Genevieve when she was 8 yrs old (2022). She enjoys the sessions, saying that it’s fun & interesting, and not boring. My husband & I are happy with the progress that our daughter has been making every week. And we always look forward to the recitals. Genevieve is professional, supportive, kind, & respectful. She accommodates to any reasonable changes to our schedule without any problem. I highly recommend her.
Genevieve is an amazing piano teacher. She has been teaching my 9 years old for 3 years and she is kind, professional, patient and creative. I love that she takes the time to teach my son also about history of music when he is learning a piece, and he now knows about the great composers. I am very grateful for what she did for my son and i recommend Genevieve to all parents interested in piano lessons for their children
