I was looking for a Muay Thai place to go after I moved further from the one I was going to for about 9 years. I wanted to make sure I was learning technique, but also make sure to find a coach that is welcoming and cares about their students and on top of that, has students that were also welcoming and humble. Coach Khoa is not shy to give his honest opinion and will correct you as needed which is what I was looking for. He helped with correcting my knees so I wasn’t feeling the push back. Thanks Coach! Most of the students are welcoming and don’t act like they’re better than you which is a plus. You also can use the weights before or after class which is great bc it’s a one stop shop for me to get my weight training in when I can’t get to the gym in the morning. Another plus is the hours, 6 and 7am class and a lunch time class!
My son Jonathan started his first kickboxing, Muay Thai, Boxing class at MTLA Fullerton. I wasn’t sure what to expect but the coaches are amazing! Especially Coach Khoa! Coaches pay attention to him and made sure he understood the techniques before moving on. Everyone was welcoming , supportive and respectful, which made my son really comfortable. Amazing place, very clean and professional staff. My son loved it so much he would like to compete one day. Thank you coach Khoa!
MTLA has an amazing atmosphere and truly feels like a family. From day one, everyone has been welcoming, supportive, and motivated to help each other improve. Coach Khoa and the coaching staff are knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely care about your progress. The classes are well-structured, the pad work is solid, and the culture pushes you to work hard while still enjoying the process. The gym is clean, organized, and has a great energy every time you walk in. Whether you’re new or experienced, this is a place where you can grow, learn, and feel part of something bigger. Highly recommend.
Been training at this gym for about 10 months now. Coach Khoa is very helpful with showing the students correct techniques. The schedule for classes are throughout the day so you will have no problem finding a class. Everyone is there to learn and get better at Muay Thai. They will match you with your experience level on pad work and technique classes. The friends and connections you have in this gym are irreplaceable. Great gym overall
I joined MTLA Fullerton a little over six months ago and I can honestly say it was the best Decision I’ve made in a while. The memberships are extremely affordable, and I have yet to see another Muay Thai gym that can offer the hours that this one does. Coach Khoa is extremely helpful and patient he takes the time with you to improve on your technique and explain any questions you might have, The environment here is very welcoming And friendly With lots to learn from each other, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a positive lifestyle change.
