I've been taking songwriting lessons with Ciara for about 8 months and it's been a wonderful experience. She is a very skilled and insightful musician, and I've made huge leaps in my songwriting because of her help! MMS as a whole is such a great community, they put on lots of fun events throughout the year and I've met so many lovely people through them. I definitely recommend MMS for anyone looking for music lessons in the city or online.

Fantastic school + studio! As a 33yo starting piano for the first time, I felt welcome and valued and saw progress almost instantly. Very friendly staff (kudos Naomi + Christian)! Would recommend to any adult looking to get into music - it's never too late!!

I have been taking guitar lessons at McAllister for several months now, and it has been such a wonderful experience! I have been learning so much from my music teacher Anna, who make sure to tailor the lessons to my interests- she’s so awesome to work with! And it is a really great community, they have open mics and recitals where you can meet other students and teachers and be a part of some wonderful music experiences! I highly recommend taking music lessons at McAllister!

David has been an incredible piano teacher for my son, a new learner. His focus isn’t just on playing songs but on truly understanding music. Rather than rushing through pieces, David takes the time to discuss the details—how chords work, how each note feels, and how they differ from one another. This thoughtful approach has made my son love practicing after each class. We will be starting music production part soon and excited to be with David and McAllister music studio!

We love MMS! Our daughter loves going to the studio and is challenged and inspired by her teacher, Christian. He is so great with her - she loves practicing, improving and working with him. We even increased our lessons to twice a week. Not only is Christian a great teacher but the whole community is incredible. We have met so many other families while hanging out in the studio space, and have connected with other families. Our daughter gets to perform at amazing venues throughout the city multiple times a year as well. The teachers, staff and admin at MMS are helpful, supportive and so lovely and fun to be around. We love it here!
