I’ve used Medvet multiple times over the years. From HGE to my dog eating a tarantula; every time the team is quick, compassionate, and thorough. Both times my dogs have come out of this hospital feeling much better despite the vast difference in ailments. The rooms are clean and well kept, Dr. B we’ve seen both times comes up with a great treatment plan and the techs are always on top of it! I recommend Medvet to all my animal friends in an emergency!
I had a wonderful experience at MedVet last night, my 6 year old Chiweenie Nala presented with a ruptured anal abcess, I called Cheyanne at the front desk with questions about cost and wait times. She was very professional and courteous and answered my questions as best as she could. Upon arrival at 10:35pm; we were checked in, triaged immediately then placed in a private waiting room. We were seen by Dr. Bisoye, she was amazing at answering all of my questions and fully discussed what was needed for treatment and why. Next, a tech (I can’t remember her name) came in to discuss payment for treatment. Now with this being an ER visit I expected to pay a higher fee than the normal vet but it wasn’t outrageous. After treatment was given, Zach brought her back to us and explained everything that took place and how she did. We were given pain meds and antibiotics to take home and given verbal discharge instructions by another tech (also can’t remember his name) so we could get home, it was about 245am at this point. We were promised written discharge instructions before 8am and they came in at 6:17am. The doctor also emailed her notes and follow up care to our normal vet for follow up as well. My only complaint was the wait time(reason for 4 stars not 5), we were there for about 3.5 hours before being seen by the doctor, again my dog was fairly stable and I witnessed more urgent babies that needed the doctors attention first. Not a deal breaker but could improve. Overall our stay was right at 4.5 hours. Which in the ER dept is still pretty decent. My baby is now home getting lots of cuddles, belly rubs, recovering nicely. I am very grateful for the care team at MedVet. Their attention to my concerns, knowledge of issue/need and treatment, and willingness to answer my every question is what I needed to make sure my baby was ok! Keep up the amazing work!! Definitely referring friends and fellow pet parents ♥️♥️♥️
I brought my 9 week old Yorkie pup, Poppy, in after she had been diagnosed with parvo. She was lethargic and her health was declining fast. Poppy was a very sick girl and I was so afraid she wasn't going to survive. Parvo is a tough disease, especially for a tiny Yorkie pup. I called MedVet on a Sunday because Poppy couldn't hold her little head up and our usual vet was closed. I was told to bring her in immediately. As soon as we got there, Poppy was taken back and started on IV fluids and meds. She was hospitalized so she could get around the clock care. While she was hospitalized, I received calls from the vets to keep me updated. I could tell she was in good hands. I was able to call and check on her too and everyone was so knowledgeable and kind. After 3 days, I got a call and was told that Poppy was feeling much better and I could go pick her up. She is now back at home, bouncing around and being the most playful and sweetest girl! I am so thankful for MedVet and everyone who helped to save my little Poppy girl! I know that she would not have survived without the constant care that she was provided with at MedVet.
We received exceptional care for our Buddy during his 2 1/2 day stay. The care and compassion shown to our dog and family exceeded our expectations. We are beyond grateful for the knowledgeable and caring staff at MedVet! I wish we had all the names of everyone we would like to thank, but I did get the name of Jeanine at the front desk who was so kind and helpful in keeping us updated during Buddy’s stay!
Brought my 2 year-old dog, Zayla, to be seen since she would not put weight on her back hind leg. The staff, techs, and doctor were all very attentive to me and my dog. They showed genuine concern with Zayla’s issue and were very caring and gentle with her. I have used MedVet many times over the years for my previous dogs. They have always taken great care of the dogs as well as their humans. I would recommend them to anyone in need of after-hours or emergency veterinary services!
