Had a boiler and 5 radiator systems explode in a new rental property I just bought last year. Yay me! Midland was nice to work with, seamed honest throughout the entire process. No leaks yet lol! and I love the look of new copper piping!
After self cleaning the flame sensors - furnace failed to power up. Jake came and took quick look, realized based on error code that ground wire was the fault. Quickly repositioned the ground wire and rest is “warm house”. Thanks Jake and to Emily for squeezing us in today 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I had a big project, replacing 3 furnaces, adding a humidifier, and converting 2 A/C units to heatpumps with Midland. Todd Shuman (Owner) and company were absolutely stellar every step of the way. Todd came out to do the preliminary estimate and project scoping with me. Immediately I could tell he had actual hands-on experience maybe as an installer or tech before, he was not just a sales guy like some of the other companies I got estimates from. He was extremely knowledgeable about the units (20 year old ones at that), code requirements, and potential pain points that could pop up while upgrading to new and different systems (high efficiency furnace, condensate lines, etc). Having the owner being so knowledgeable was very reassuring, and Todd not only provided the best estimate out of the competitors (with a military discount which was nice), I didn't end up with ANY extra tacked on "fees" from minor changes that had to happen for such a large 3 day project. You can trust him to keep his word! After accepting the estimate, they came out a second time to double check all the work that would need to be done. That was nice touch, it felt like they actually project managed/planned things out instead of making the technicians figure it out on install day, so the technicians didn't need to ask me a bunch of questions. All connections were nicely sealed, holes were patched with putty, cables and condensate lines tied down. Michael (Lead tech) tackled every problem that came up with ease and provided me with streamlined options on how I wanted to proceed and guidance to the technicians working with him. After everything was completed and paid for, they also submitted all the utility company rebates for me on the same day. Crazy fast turnaround time! All in all, one of the best contractor experiences I've had to date. Couldn't be happier with both the price and service! Only issue I had is with a thermostat error that seems to be a known bug with the 3ton heatpump model, which will supposedly get fixed with a software update in the near future. They've been on top of diagnosing and updating me on it.
Just had a great annual tune-up of my boiler with Michael from Midland. I had a few questions about the boiler (it's new and somewhat different than the old one) and Michael showed me all the pertinent things I should know. He also had helpful advise when I brought up an unrelated issue with my hot water heater. I now have an appointment to have that matter addressed. I really appreciate Midland's great service and the expertise of all of the technicians. Special thanks to Michael!
Michael was a great tech. Efficient and knowledgeable. Held himself to a high standard and provided great customer service. Made sure our boiler is working right and ready for winter. Explained what I can look for on the machine for signs of problems
