Unfortunately I found that this store mainly sells new items that feel like fast fashion. I would not categorize this as a vintage shop. Also shopkeeper was speaking with a customer when I entered, but didn’t acknowledge my presence or look at me the whole time I perused, which felt a bit awkward. It was a clean and pretty looking shop, and I’m sure there’s plenty here for others, but I was a bit confused.
I stumbled upon this store during The All About Downtown Street Fair in Jersey City. This store is super cute but it is pretty pricey. I spent $60 on a Nicole Concho Link Belt and $138.60 on a Hidden Jeans Devon Classic Denim Trench Coat - Dark Wash. I did end up doing a price comparison to see if these items were available elsewhere to determine if they were overpriced. I did find the same exact belt on two different online stores and they were both priced at $60. As for the Denim Trench Coat the price was originally $154 but it was 10% off for the coat which made the coat $138.60. I found the same exact coat on Nordstrom for $135 so the price is comparable after the discount but without discount it would have been $154. Overall the service was good. The woman cashier who was working that day was super friendly and allowed me to try on things I wanted to purchase. They do have two fitting rooms available for easy try ons. The store is on the smaller size so it can get cramped if there's a lot of people in the store. Overall, if you are in the downtown area of Jersey City, I would say this shop is worth checking out. But be advised you will need your $$$.
I came in looking for a last minute dress for a wedding and the owner was incredibly attentive to what I was looking for, my body type and style. Great selection and great service, I will definitely be coming back!
Beautiful store with lots of amazing vintage and contemporary pieces. The owner is very sweet and let my dog come in. Beautiful designer pieces too. A bit on the pricier side, but you’re paying for designer vintage and supporting a local female owned business so ya can’t go wrong! They have discounts on their Etsy & instagram too, so make sure to check those.
Mint Market is a hidden gem with an incredible selection of vintage clothing. Valerie, the owner, is an absolute delight! Her warm and friendly nature makes every visit special. The curated collection is lovely, with unique and stylish pieces that you won’t find anywhere else. Valerie's passion for fashion and her personal touch make shopping here a wonderful experience.
