Our band stayed here on tour, thanks to a good friend’s recommendation, and it was so perfect! Charming, cute, comfy, great breakfast, nice people, perfect easy location in Houston, and fun awesome decor! We wish we could have stayed longer!

This place is a hostel. It’s a communal stay situation and you will be staying with random people and they don’t inform you until you check in. I booked this room on booking.com and no where on the booking did it say there was another room in the space where another random person would stay. They made it sound like we would have the entire space to ourselves. Very misleading. Waaaaayyyyy too expensive for what it is. Every room was dirty in some way. Bathroom showers built up with scum. Window seals filled with dead bugs. Just an overall dirty and creepy vibe. Not as nice as the pictures.

Share the details of your own experience at this place,” Google says. Oh, man! Where to begin? The owner (who I’ll call “L” for privacy purposes) is a complete sweetheart. She even offered me change for the metro rail within ten minutes of my arrival. There is a lot of value in a host who makes a point to meet you face-to-face. Her cleaner, M, was also extremely friendly. This is to say nothing of the master chef in residence. R, the chef, Prepared me a fantastic omelette, while entertaining my conversations. The other guests were also fabulous, so maybe I just got lucky. But I can tell you that the accommodations, including the bedroom and bathroom, were all outstanding. I also appreciated having parking space and smart TV. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast… and I will be back!

The plus of this hotel is the interesting other guests, the owners who will go the extra step and the location. It could all do with a good spruce up outside - I was a bit dubious to start with, but the room was comfortable and the location meant I could walk to the Menil collection easily. The WiFi was reliable too.

Rooms were not the cleanest with the bathroom being outside the room. The bathroom also had an opening into shared areas, so privacy wise it wasn't the best. The breakfast was good, with omelettes freshly made on demand. The place itself doesn't look the best (I guess it's not meant to be luxury but still). However it's located in a nice neighborhood so it wasn't the worse. It's also pretty close to downtown and some activities around.
