Best breakfast I have had in years. The eggs were Michelin Star level perfect the most amazing soft scramble. The home home were wicked awesome too. Perfect snap and crunch on the outside soft on the inside. Bacon had the perfect snap, not over cooked definitely not soggy either. Not sure if the sourdough bread was home made but is was wicked good too. Proops for just having sourdough bread. If live within a hour this should b high on your list to try. Thank you James for the great service and for sharing you Spotify playlist. Good food, good vibes, great music, Thank you
I enjoyed trying this restaurant. They were very busy in the morning but we were seated relatively quickly. Amazing coffee and good service. The only thing I disliked was how loud it was, but other than that, this place is definitely worth checking out!
We went here after I searched breakfast places online. We were from out of town and their mini Dutch pancakes caught my eye in a photo & I thought my son would love them. We were luckily able to find street parking. It was a little busy when we walked in, but the place is rather quaint, so it could easily fill up fast (the patio was not available as it is winter time). Once we were sat, it took a bit to be served. They appeared to have 3 servers working & possibly 15 customers seated. Some customers were already finishing up their meals while 3 or 4 tables were in various stages of wait. When we were finally seen, we ordered the First Responder breakfast to share, a smoothie & 5 more mini Dutch pancakes. The food arrived in reasonable time & was presented nicely. The smoothie was fresh & tasted great. My son drank all of it, unfortunately, the breakfast was disappointing. Basically $1.25/ea for mini Dutch pancakes that just tasted like normal pancakes with fake maple syrup on the side. The waffle that came with the breakfast could be used to hammer a nail in the wall it was so hard & crispy. The eggs were made perfectly & the thick bacon was OK, but bordering on too crispy. We got the half salad, half breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were not a good blend of crispy & soft, they were just soft. The 'garden salad' was just mixed greens tossed with a dressing - not a single stitch of other veg & some of the lettuce was wilted & a bit slimy so I picked it out. Overall, we didn't finish the breakfast & my 11 y.o. even commented that he wouldn't want to come back as the food was 'mid'. He was initially excited for the pancakes, but was disappointed with the flavor also. The kitchy vibe of the place was nice, the place was clean, but for the price & lack of flavor of the breakfast, I would not go back. I try to find independent businesses to support & if the food looks good in online photos, I give it a shot. Unfortunately, this one was a miss for us this time, but we wish them all the best.
I came for breakfast and got The Big Bird with scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, and extra turkey bacon. The portion was generous and everything came out hot and fresh. The fried chicken thigh was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, and the maple syrup with the house hot sauce worked perfectly together. The sourdough was toasted just right, and the turkey bacon was a great option to have. Service was friendly. Overall, a nice breakfast spot.
Honestly, I found my poached eggs to be watery and lacking a bit in flavour. The fried eggs were also a little plain, but nothing a little salt and pepper can't fix. The sides were a bit of a step up, but I didn't find them very special. On the other hand, I did absolutely love the drinks. Our server was exceptional as well, so that was definitely a bonus for me. Maybe I came on an off day, but because of how much I enjoyed the service and drinks, I'll definitely come back and try again!
