My son (7-year-old) attended the summer camp at Mr. Gao's Art Studio and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. The 6-week summer camp offered a wide variety of activities including Chinese, LEGO, robotics, coding, and chess. He learned so much and came home every day with meaningful handmade projects. What stood out the most were the weekly sketching sessions and outdoor activities visiting different museums within the Boston area. These activities greatly broadened his perspective, knowledge, and imagination. The outdoor activities encouraged the kids to connect with nature and think creatively. I highly recommend Mr. Gao's Art Studio for children who have a curious mind of learning. Both their summer and fall courses are absolutely worth it!

Our kids had a wonderful experience with Mr. Gao’s Art Studio Summer Camp! The program is very well-rounded — the kids not only learned art and handcraft but also explored Chinese language and culture, along with fun science activities. Every week felt fresh and exciting with unique themes and engaging field trips that the kids absolutely loved. The teachers are kind, patient, and very knowledgeable, making the learning experience enjoyable and meaningful. It’s a fantastic camp that balances creativity, learning, and fun. Highly recommend!

My kids have tried both the art class and a week of summer camp here, and both experiences have been fantastic. Mr. Gao truly cares about his students, and it shows. He and the staff put together a rich variety of activities—coding, chess, Mandarin, crafts, clay art, building projects, and more—that kept the kids engaged and excited to learn. The summer camp was especially memorable. Each day was filled with creative and hands-on experiences, and the field trip was the highlight of the week! My kids came home happy, inspired, and eager to return. I highly recommend this program to any family looking for a well-rounded, caring, and enriching environment.

Been there for quite a few years on the weekends. I started at intermediate class and quickly got into the professional class through Mr. Gao's help, transforming my artistic thoughts into the paper from basic cartoony, fun drawings to realism based on hand-accurate measurements and proportions that truely make my drawings pop. On top of that, I had enjoyed multiple pieces of watercolor and acrylic art during my professional classes which some had won honors during a competition. Throughout the learning process, Mr. Gao was really helpful, but also knows when to let loose and let the student put in hands-on work, working on their personal growth. I really enjoyed the program and highly recommend it to beginners, especially younger kids who are interested, or advanced artists that want to pick up some extra skills!

I’ve been here as a student for almost 10 years now and I have learnt so much. From the different techniques and mediums that we used, every lesson is thoughtfully planned out. I can tell that the kids in all levels really enjoy learning, drawing, and most of all, having fun! I highly recommend this place, especially the summer camps!!
