NB Tailoring & Alteration

Absolute terrible service. I brought a skirt here to have the zipper repaired before an upcoming holiday. I told the woman I would need the skirt by Monday as I was flying early Tuesday morning, she said it would be ready by Monday at 1:00. I came on Monday at 1:00 and she pretended to be on an important phone call and asked me to come back in 30 minutes. It seemed to me she hadn’t actually finished the repair. I came back 45 minutes later and she had left the shop entirely. I came to the shop after my holiday to pick up the skirt and didn’t receive any sort of apology or explanation, perhaps that level of unprofessionalism is common here. Save your time and money and go to Mrs. Ma’s down the street, don’t bother with this place.

Nancy made me two STUNNING evening dress; one sleeveless with a shrug to match, and the second a coat dress for my wedding. She is easy to work with and is a fabulous dressmaker. Highly recommend

really skilled tailor and definitely knowledgeable. Only wish was that she would be slightly more conservative with the fabric when tailoring so there could’ve been room to adjust the fit or she would’ve kept the fabric inside the dress. I had a dress tailored from L to size xS. She did a great job with it, but my preference was to keep the bottom more flowy and loose. I thought she was only going to take in a little fabric for the bottom but when I picked up, most of the fabric was taken away to have it fit better (not what I wanted) She is very skilled, so I’d recommend being very specific what you want and not to assume. I probably wouldn’t have gotten the dress tailored had I known that’s how it would’ve fit after.

Absolutely incredible work. Had my wedding dress tailored with Nancy and she is a true expert! She even made some recommendations on minor adjustments I had not considered, like loosening the fabric around my hips to improve form fitting (it was an incredible suggestion). She also guided me through bustle options, making the process stress-free and simple. I booked with Nancy because of her affordability; her pricing was fair compared to the outrageous quotes I had received from other tailors in the city, who price gouged for my very simple hem request. Nancy was affordable, personable, and detailed. I would absolutely recommend her to other brides in need of alterations at a reasonable price. I will undoubtedly return to her for all my tailoring needs from now on. Thanks, Nancy!

My (now) husband and I got our wedding apparel altered at this shop a few months ago. His suit, shirt, and my dresses came out perfectly! Wanted to share a few photos from the big day and take a moment to recommend this spot. She is not cheap, but does an amazing job. Highly recommend ❤️
