I love this gallery. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. Although it is on the smaller side, there is a vast amount of art from local artists. There’s everything from paintings to watercolor to ceramics. They have a rather large selection of woodworking bowls, and such. All types of different wood grains, most focused on the woods of Hawaii. There’s also jewelry as well. Pay a visit here you’ll be glad you did.
Art! Not the guy, the stuff. If you are visiting or a local and like art, this is a place to see some great artistic vision. Don't go to the local museums they all kind of suck. This is the place where the rubber meets the road so to speak. As in where the art can meet your hand. As long as your pockets are deep enough. This place is filled with things that most people would love to have in their home. There are some truly exceptional works here. I suggest you stop by and have a look. Be careful you might fall in love. Remember, with great art comes great responsibility.
Such a beautiful gallery with something for everyone, including yourself! It is difficult to find a store that features local artists. Nohea Gallery embraces Hawaii's artistic community and offers a variety of elegantly crafted items. The staff are kind, knowledgable, and enormously helpful. My go-to shop in Honolulu! I love it and highly recommend it.
Over the decades we have returned again and again to Nohea… whether you are visiting or a local, the tastefully curated selection of art, woodwork, pottery, jewelry and more is a must see. I love that the selection changes and the artists have a chance to show and sell their work at nohea. The staff is amazing and can answer all your questions about the artists and artwork…providing a personalized experience that’s nearly impossible to find these days. If you need to ship, the pieces arrive safe and sound. Well worth many trips and purchases !
